I always find it funny that "Mama" describes Valencourt as an "Evil Witch" that "put a spell" over Bobby, mainly because her first MAJOR film was The Craft where she played a deranged witch that was inflicting chaos all over the town.

Cameos Cameos Fact: Captain Insano, the pro wrestler that Bobby (Adam Sandler) idolizes in the film, is played by Paul "The Big Show" Wight, a pro wrestler who wrestled in WCW before it was bought out by the WWE in 2001. Director Frank Coraci plays Bobby's father, Robert. Location Location Fact: The climactic Bourbon Bowl scene was filmed at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida. However, the flyover shown in the film is actually of Williams-Brice stadium at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina. The Medulla Oblongata scene was shot at Florida Southern College in Lakeland Florida and actual students played the extras. The South Central Muddogs' stadium is the DeLand High School football field in DeLand, Florida. The school agreed to let director Frank Coraci use the field if he paid for the stadium to be refurbished after filming. Adam has good chemistry with Drew Barrymore and both The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates are movies women like as much as men do. Uncut Gems, Punch-drunk Love, Spanglish and Click are dramatic roles that were received well and were all good movies.

This was filmed in central Florida. The Bourbon Bowl at the end was played in the Citrus Bowl in Orlando. The party scene after their first win was filmed in a hotel in my hometown. My high school football coach played for Florida State and got tackled by Bobby in the montage scene.

This movie reintroduced Henry Winkler to a younger generation. It could very well be credited with giving his career its second act (which he cinched with his big guest starring role on ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT about 5 years later. His performance in the HBO show BARRY most definitely cemented him in his third act as one of the finest American actors the 20th century produced.) And it's all because Adam Sandler mentioned Henry in The Chanukah Song wayy back on Saturday Night Live. Henry was touched that Adam would do that, called him up to thank him, and that's how their friendship began which eventually led to Henry being in this film. It's just amazing the twists and turns a career in entertainment can take.

Wedding singer and big daddy are the other ones that are really funny in that era but big daddy and wedding singer both being a little bit more heart to the comedy than waterboy and happy Gilmore. 50 first dates is also good but more heartfelt than any of his movies probably. Some people like Billy Madison, some people really don’t like it. I don’t think it’s funny at all, I don’t like it.

Regarding the people who say Adam Sandler's career goes "downhill" after this era of movies; This isn't a movie suggestion, but I highly recommend the video "The Adam Sandler Paradox" by Dodford. The video goes over the entire career of Sandler in a 19 minute video, and points out what makes Adam Sandler a very encapsulating actor to many people, regardless of what most people think of his filmography. I am a little biased, as I grew up with these movies, and Sandler literally went to school a few towns over from me, but I think his career is relatively underrated barring maybe two or three films.

The Wedding Singer is great it was my introduction to Adam when i was like 12yrs old & my foster ma took us to see it & i didn't want to but i thought it was better than The Waterboy which came out right after & i was taken to see that one too!!¡! Billy Madison & BigDaddy were good too but the greatest Sandler film without a doubt was Little Nicky , it even has a unrecognizable cameo of Quentin Tarantino that only kids like me knew about that actually saw Pulp Fiction when it first came out & pplz parents rented it at the video store because obviously they definitely wasn't taking us kids to see a type of film like that especially backthen
