Hi Sir my total experience : 6yrs UI developer ,i got an offer from Capgemini with 17Lpa fixed and 10% variable pay for role senior consultant c1 and other with DXC with 19LPA fixed and 5% variable pay which one is better to join.

i would prefer Capagemini over DXC. specially i observed rating of capgemini is much higher than DXC. but irrespective of name, you are safe in both companies, growth might not be there in both. bit better in Capgemini.

there is no questions when TCS offer is there. the question is , are they both same. if offer is same always TCS. but that might not be the case, so no problem choosing Capgemini as well. Indian representation is Capgemini leadership is growing which is a good sign for future.

wherever you go, if one is on bench for long , you fear for job safety. but good thing is, you skills are in demand so you are unlikely to be on bench for next couple of years. so both names are fine. Cognizant is in tough spot but things might stablise going forward. Some signs we saw in this quarter. check my cognizant videos. Internal sentiments are negative in Cognizant , so you might feel that. Only that factors puts Capgemini ahead

Capgemini india intermittently comes into news for tough practices. high attrition. very little difference , but if you have project level information that could be important . or if one is hiring on projects directly vs pool. as bench feeling is not good. work life balance generally in bigger companies is always better LBU's normally work in local markets. Being such big comany, they don't work a lot on small projects. so thta shouldn't be a big deal. Project specific information would only be known when you start in the project. its very difficult for me to comment on that.

IBM is a better choice for sheer brand value. However Capgemini is not bad either. both are not known for growth once you join. So you can pick anyone. do check for variable pay difference. What i can recommend is, Watch "Job Safety vs Growth" video. That will give you framework for longterm.

@Binge - I am having 14 years experience in SAP - Functional - S4HANA with EDI skill set . How is the job market for SAP now and any estimate how much shall I ask in salary negotiations.

SAP is niche and will remain so. Every large company has one or other module of SAP. And if organizations were to move away from SAP, it will be huge cost compared to benefits. So i don't see any challenge around that. However the flip side is, it is routine work within the proprietary ecosystem of SAP. So technology and manpower both become a closed group. That means limited number of people work in limited technology space. in that aspect i don't expect a big scope for disruption therefore inter company movement means a fixed set up expectations. So eyeing vertical movement is much better than stressing too much on salary.

I agree with above views. Capgemini is the place as a fresher specially they are hiring you at least on 100% premium with respect to a normal hire . All IT companies base pay starts from 3.5 LPA to 4 LPA.

Due to difficult times in cognizant, lot of times negative stories you would hear, and that makes an impact on your mindset. Capgemini engineering means you will get work work most likely in Industrial segment. chances that you might work on good projects are higher. Banking sector is safe sector for all IT compaines and lot of demand. JP morgan as a client is interesting. However in banking projects there are very few new projects but support or enhancements.For BFSI domain command Goldman sachs is good choice. around 30% work in IT is in BFSI domain. so there will always be scope .

it is still used in banking and financial sector widely. so chances are it will continue to be used even in future...but not grow or will not find new customers... . if you work there, you will be considered a legacy skilled resource. however very skilled resources will still find good takers in the market.

So nothing wrong choosing it. specially you've mentioned they have multiple location around you, means you have bit of mobility around these if you want. Just a suggestion, Please get certified in DevOps as soon as possible. they will cement your place there.

you've not shared you current location, i am hoping its hometown due after covid . the other thing is Skills. but looking at pros and cons, i wouldn't go for Hyderabad for Virtusa. If you have not watch my Virtusa video, check that please. So there are two options Capgemini , Cognizant. Cognizant is coming out of crisis however attrition is still high, Capgemini is growing well. so not a big difference. you can go for either.

1 years ? at the moment SAP has no issue, however SAP is a slow mover giant, and giants normally face the same problem what IBM is facing. SAP commands ERP market completely , so no challenge in short. However its important to track regular quarterly performance. that gives a hint to future.

Hello Sir. I have an offer from both CG and CTS. CG (9.5LPA fixed) CTS (9.75 fixed and 45k variable). Domain: ETL DEVELOPER Exp:3.5 yrs Which would be the best take as per opportunities as I could see negligible variations in salary.

Both are same. CTS is struggling bit due to top management bad handling of employees. But that's not you need to worry at your exp level. Do check my cognizant videos on the channel. I would choose higher salary. But the bigger story lies somewhere else for you. Not the company. All digital work now requires a different etl approach.else you will get stuck with legacy projects. 30% employees left from cts on last quarter.. .. People are not joining from tier 1 companies.. They are recruiting people from small small companies.... Will blast in few years.. Most of the top people left the company

Itc info is too small a company. Not much is known about their client base. I suspect they have local clients. Also ITC never proved themselves in IT space

@@sangeethakanagaraj3145 yes, I have joined for A3 role in Capgemini. I suggest you compare the packages between TCS and Capgemini and go for the higher package. If there is not much difference in package between both, then you should join Capgemini as salary hikes are very less in TCS.
