Thank you, your video was a lifesaver. I’m taking care of my grandmother and had no clue how to use this thing. Clueless at 4:30AM not able to call anyone to ask questions, your video saved the day. Thank you!

I do glucose check for mom every so often - Is it ok the prick the top of finger instead of the flat surface of it ? Thanks for sharing tutorial
@MedicalAssistingwithMsK2 ай бұрын
Hey good question… technically we’re only supposed to do the sides but because she has it checked so often, it’s understandable if you do it where it’s most comfortable for her. I’m sure it’s probably calloused from sticking the same spots so much.

Is it necessary to put a bandage?
@MedicalAssistingwithMsK2 ай бұрын
Yes, for at least 15 minutes to stop the bleeding. However, the patient may decline and choose to simply apply pressure until it stops bleeding.

what are the normal ranges
@MedicalAssistingwithMsK Жыл бұрын
Formerly it was 80-100, but in recent years, it's been lowered to 70-100. And according to NHA, a normal fasting blood glucose result is 60-110.

Hey miss hru, you know a tip for needle nervousm ??? I am scared of needles for myself but I’m not scared to put it on someone else, but I know that will mess up with the needles, you know how to get rid of that ?
@MedicalAssistingwithMsK4 ай бұрын
Hi, sorry I’m just seeing your comment. Some people are very nervous in the beginning and they eventually get over it as they practice. If you are in a class, where you have to practice on each other, you can let your instructor know about your fear and hopefully he or she will work with you.

Why do you only use the ring/middle finger? Thanks

They are considered to be stronger as they have more tissue. The index and pinky are more sensitive and the thumb has a pulse.
