Asaba Igbo is not different from the Igbo that is spoken in Onitsha or Anambra . People should not mistake Asaba with places like Agbor. Asaba people speak Enuani dialect which is spoken in places such as Ogwashiuku, Ibusa and co. Thanks for bringing us Asaba.

You said that Asaba Igbo is different from other Igbo without realizing that the Igbo spoken in every town is not the same. What you speak in Onitsha is not the same as what is spoken in Arochukwu. We all speak dialects of the Igbo language. So, what is spoken in Asaba is a dialect of the Igbo language more closely related to what is spoken in it's neigbouring town of Onitsha. Like i said, you may be mistaking other Igboid languages such as Ika (Agbor) and Ukwuani for Asaba. Asaba Igbo is as pure as they come.

Igbo bu igbo, there no different between them. Each an every community in Igbo land have their dialect. Enugu speak different to Anambra, Anambra speaks different to Imo, imo speaks different to Abia, Abia speaks different to Ebonyi and Ebonyi speaks different to Enugu. So Asaba own dialect doesn't make them different igbo. But every igbo communities understands central Igbo even if you can't speak it well but you definitely understand it when someone speaks it to you.

Even Ikwerre are igbo. How can people with full fledged igbo names call themselves something else. Even those in Ebonyi and Nsukka speak a far dialect from central igbo but they’re still igbo, same with the Ikwerre dialect, even all their towns and villages have igbo names. These are all divide and conquer tactics to keep Igbos divided and too weak to fight off those oppressing us if we’re too focused on fighting each other. How can someone think a small river dividing two states automatically means they are different from each other?

@@blacktruthtelevisions Nnebisi was the father of modern day Asaba. Nnebisi's dad was an Igala prince from modern day Kogi State. Nnebisi's mom was from Nteje in Anambra State. In a patriarchal society like Nigeria, although Asaba indigenes speak Igbo, their paternal ancestry is in Kogi State. Technically, Asaba are NOT Ibos. That you speak English doesn't make you an English person, does it? So, now, you know...

@@Sabrerattler007 sometimes apply reasoning to what you say..Kogi is name of state ,kogi as a state is multiethnic made of igala, igbo( ibaji,Asadu clan) and Yoruba. The name Nnebisi does not in any way sound igala .so a migration from kogi does not mean the person is not igbo..just as a migration from Benin doesn't mean the person isn't igbo..igbos lived in those places those days. @@mrsranciz Abi na_ cause i was expecting to see great transformation, but nothing is really working out there. It seems their governor's are just too corrupt, delta state is one of the richest state in Nigeria in terms of resources but unfortunately everything look unkempt looking at the city. Though you did a spectacular job ❤️

ASABA is completely a diffrent place to watch in this video as against the asaba of 1978.l mean its now better developed as the seat of government of delta state and asabians must consider themselves very lucky.
