Having grown up in Lagos and now living in Abuja, I can confidently say Abuja is far better than Lagos in every way.. good infrastructure, better safety, greenery, quality of life, class of people and so much more. In addition to the affluence here, Abuja people are just awesome, so kind, warm and friendly. I don't think I can return to that mess called Lagos again.

That , actually is an often repeated lazy summation! For a start, there is no such thing as a "politician" in the true sense of the word! Most people who go into politics are often people who have had previous different careers ! And of course only people of means mostly go into politics in the first place! Lawyers, ex military generals, bankers, businesspersons and even doctors all get involved in politics! But many Nigerians don't seem to take on board that politics is very transient! Politicians win elections and lose elections , they can be impeached, their tenures in office do come to an end! Additionally, court tribunals can upturn election results and sack any incumbents! Instinctively, most politicians, like most Nigerians actually do like to retire to their home states . All told, politicians along the three tiers of government are not up to 20,000 individuals! So how can 20,000 or so people own or occupy over one and a half million homes in Abuja?? We are too quick to buy into these tropes of corrupt politicians dominating our society! 👊🏾🇳🇬!

The tragedy of Abuja is that (as indirectly mentioned by the Estate Agent) it is basically built on and sustained by an economy of corruption and the mismanagement of Nigeria's commonwealth..to succeed in Abuja (and to even think about acquiring/renting one of the properties shown in this video) you are either in government or reliant on someone in government in some shape or form..the Estate Agent didnt tell us where or how a politician or General comes about 2/3/4m USD..and I just refuse to be a part of this travesty because simply put..because any one of those houses in Abuja is the reason why a road in Bayelsa in not tarred or a govt hospital in Zamfara does not have drugs.

I previously lived in Lagos for over 7 years and I can objectively say that I prefer Abuja to Lagos. The serenity of Abuja is charming!! Abuja's greenery is obvious and it is a serene city to live in. The only edge that Lagos has over Abuja is the extensive coastline & water-front view.

Abuja is hands down my favourite city around West, central and east Africa. The only African city that has it bit in my opinion would be Cape town and Egypt's new capital city (under construction - which seems to be taking on Abu Dhabi structurally). Abuja is a truly amazing city (nice greenery, roads and modern houses - there's always a new and amazing estate being developed). The centenary city and airport city when completed would add even more architectural value to Nigeria's federal capital city.

I thought Port Harcourt city had good estates until I saw this video. Wowww, the difference is really wide. The ones in Port Harcourt city and even Lagos are to some extent affordable but the ones in Abuja as I have seen in this video is wayyy expensive. Even some 'rich' people can't afford it. You can get a lot for your money in Abuja, at least from a UK perspective, wow! Compared to London, even the most expensive properties in Abuja are still a fraction of the price of equivalent sized properties in London in similarly exclusive neighbourhoods . I live a short drive away from a road called the Bishops avenue in London which is for the uber rich, where 6 and 7 bedroom houses routinely sell for anywhere between £25 and £40 million depending on the size of the lot. £1 million in London will get you a very average sized 4 bedroom house, in a very ordinary part of London or it can buy you a 3 bedroom apartment in a reasonably exclusive area.
