Just left pocket to right pocket with a twig. Basically it means CLI need cash so divest to CICT to borrow money because REIT can easily to get fund. CICT gearing will be above 40%. With just 0.9% DPU increase, I don't think good deal. Just my thought.

Another value creation….seller benefited from cash inflow. Whereas buyer, there maybe concern such as not mentioned but Dr. wealth. This may look like moving asset to boost liquidity at the expense of others…

what is the concern for buyer? For REITs, buying properties from sponsors is a common thing. They even have ROFR. As long as they are good properties at fair prices. In fact, some investors prefer REITs backed by strong sponsors.

Most REITs bought their properties from sponsors. Especially for their initial portfolio. FCT did that with Frasers property.
