This was so gorgeous, I’ve been brought to tears. My dad passed two years ago this month, and he was a veterans advocate. His favorite film was The Sound of Music, so seeing her perform this and seeing our wounded veterans honored at the same time, I could absolutely feel his presence with me.

This was absolutely beautiful being a daughter of a retired US army national guard medic is pretty incredible after all these years with my father finally getting what he deserved after all these years I’m so proud to be an American and I’m proud daughter of a us army veteran so proud and this song from the sound of music always puts tears to my eyes because.
