One missing piece in this analysis is the abuse, & neglect at the hands of the state, institutions, nannies, guardians, courts, police, medical personal, etc.. Abuse & neglect is the issue. The solution is not necessarily redistribution of that abuse, and neglect.

I absolutely love this woman. Raising my daughter alone, I never ever had a paid vacation with her. I however took a few. I worked 2 jobs for 16 years to raise her. She resents me now ( she is 46 years old now) she says I was never home

They are taught to not like their parents in school, vlntvideo games, tv. The govt/elite want your children. Ck out CPty to do list. I worked only one job for those reasons. To no avail. My fam went nuts too. think it is the prescription drugs. They dismantled the American family. It was on purpose. Saw it with my own eyes. As soon as my grandpa retired he was impoverished. I told my child about the agenda, hopefully one day they wake up to it. Brainwashing is very potent.

Sometimes it takes 30 years for a human being to process their childhood trauma. I think that the big issue is that parents don’t have any support. It’s going to get worse now that Roe was overturned. Children will suffer, and they will suffer damage into adulthood.

I did the opposite. Stayed homesteading homeschool and indie. She supports me in every way. I’m poor financially but so very very rich in love. Always choose the child. Always.

I just watched a documentary about postpartum depression, featuring the case of a 30 year old woman who, in a psychotic episode, murdered her three children: a 6-year old, ad 2-year old and a two-month-old newborn. And listening to this, I'm certain that had she lived in France, none of this would have happened.

"Failing isolated nuclear families." What's that supposed to mean? Sounds rather vague to me.

If you listened to more of these videos by Dr. Fraad and by her husband, socialist economist Richard Wolff, you would understand how and why families in the U.S. are isolated and failing. Nothing vague or mysterious about it. In other countries like France where families get socioeconomic support, this is not a problem. Educate yourself!

@@leftykeys6944 - Families elsewhere in the world get economic support from other families because the families who are getting it are failing. Whose fault is that? We both know. It's on account of the families themselves for why they fail. But of course, shifting the blame is always politically convenient. The idiocy is surely spreading to the USA, which has made it infinitely worse in countless ways. We now have an ever growing portion of the population financially paying for the indiscretions and lack of personal responsibility caused by their own wrong choices. The welfare state has now become pretty much universal on account of Leftist politics. I used to work in the welfare system in California, so I have a rather good idea how it works. Yes, we pay people for being irresponsible, and the rewards are PROFOUND. People have now come to expect the government to pay their university tuition. In which universe does that make any sense? Capitalism has made the USA the most wealthy nation on earth with not even 5% of the world's population. And even our "poor people" happen to own the latest version iPhone, those poor babies.

I appreciate the sentiment but france is a bad example for better social living. it’s easier to have those types of such social services and safety nets when you are taking gold from Afrika and and other natural resources, plus manipulating currencies there that you control and profit most from. also intimidate and threaten political leaders to bend to your will. billions from Ayiti don’t hurt either. wonder how would good old france fare without such “aid”? that’s the problem with these type discussion where eurocentrism blinds the speaker and misleads the listener. we can do better….

Yeah, it's absolutely correct to critique France and other developed nations for their role in neo-colonial practices, including the economic exploitation and political manipulation of less developed nations. Such dynamics are, in fact, deeply entrenched within global capitalism. Yet, the focus on the US is important as well. After all, the US stands at the centre of global capitalist structures and exhibits many of the same practices as France. Like France, it also exploits less developed nations by using them as sources of cheap labour, extracting their natural resources, and by controlling their currencies and financial markets. This isn't limited to the extraction of natural resources from developing countries, either. Take, for example, US agricultural subsidies that underprice crops such as corn and wheat. When these are dumped on developing markets, it undercuts local producers and destroys the self-sustainability of local agricultural systems. This problem is also more profound than just France or the US; it's actually endemic to the global capitalist system, which benefits capitalist nations at the expense of less developed nations. What you term as eurocentrism can also be referred to as capitalist ideology. It justifies and perpetuates the status quo of unequal power relations between developed and less developed nations. The idea that nations like France and the US have developed solely due to their own intrinsic superiority, rather than through exploiting others, is also a core element of this ideology. However, the argument shouldn't be used to completely discount the potential benefits of the social systems in countries like France. In fact, social services, public healthcare, education, housing and more, are fundamental human rights that should be provided to all people regardless of their socioeconomic status. And the goal isn't necessarily to demonise the existence of these systems but to understand their limitations and how they could be used in service of true global social equality and justice. The real challenge, however, is changing a system that allows the global rich to thrive while the global poor struggle for basic rights.

@@JP-fb8niProfessor Wolff discusses the Mondragon corporation as an interesting model where some of these ideas have created traction systemically within the Emilia Romagna region of Italy. Wasn't sure if you were aware or not but I've been reaching for more information on this in my limited free time - interesting stuff if you have a proclivity.

The whole conservative myth of individualism, and independence, in the US would not allow these excellent ideas to be implemented. That’s why the US is becoming a fragile, if not soon a failed, state.
