Jammet's not necessarily wrong. That orange cat is a menace. The attack plan was questionable though. The gunshot would definitely wake the Dan Quayle cat and even though he seems harmless the mice would be sitting ducks after the first shot. Also why does Jammet have a book called Cycle Sluts? 20:49
@eternald67083 жыл бұрын
I believe Max was in the wrong here. Jammit wanted justice for Felix, and while he didn't go about it in any practical way, give a mouse a gun, watch the power go to his head; it still was for the purpose of avenging a friend against a killing machine. While not all cats are cruel, as seen with VP cat, who albeit briefly, has exchanged dialogue with the mice, the larger cat is just a monster in the way he's presented. There's nothing to indicate that there would have been "a bigger cat" to take its place either, as humans wouldn't perceive "mice with a gun" as a plausible means to the cat's demise. The roaches were also kinda backwards in their logic about this as well, so what if Jammit has a gun? It's not like he can go around brandishing it and shooting things up without a team to literally mobilize it. I get the episode was centered around gun violence, from all the propaganda of arms deals, and violence among nations. Even still, the entire episode felt very pushed, in it's delivery, even if the message was a well meaning one. It seems to have brought everyone down a mental notch or two, so as to create complications where the characters normally wouldn't have any.

There was a slew of animated shows that came out at the time. All of them were promoted along the lines of "If you like _The Simpsons,_ then you'll love XYZ." All were badly written and all were canceled.

If it wasn't for Steven Bochco and TCFTV's logos ending this show, I'd have literally said this is surprisingly dark for something that also has Hanna-Barbera's name on it. And yes, I know they've done dark stuff as well.

This show just reeked of network interference. ABC exec: "I want to call it _Capitol Critters_ because the word 'critters' tests well with morons." Writer: "OK, but the Capitol is the building where Congress meets and the show takes place almost entirely in the White House. Did you mean Capital?" ABC exec: "And I want non-stop cartoony voices and cartoony physical gags." Writer: "We're trying for political and social satire." ABC exec: "You're fired."

I can see why this show failed to connect with an audience. The network execs were probably sending notes like "It's a cartoon, make it more cartoony. More funny voices. More characters jumping up and down hysterically."

@VeganPopTarts9 жыл бұрын
Gareth Dean To me, they are just neutral objects & it depends on who is pulling the trigger and for what reason. This cartoon would be banned today because it's a "children's" cartoon and people would think that it would encourage school shootings or something. O.o
@garethdean63829 жыл бұрын
Vegan Pop Tarts imagine it would also immediately cause a massive flamewar internet-wide as various parties denounced it as pro-gun, anti-gun, communist and \or anti-business. Frankly, the gun would have solved their problems. They should have shot the cat. his isn't some misprofiled teen here, that's a feral tiger that does nothing but murder.
@VeganPopTarts9 жыл бұрын
Gareth Dean Internet flame wars are stupid. I can see people getting into one just because I posted this video. They get butthurt over the most inane things. Yeah, the gun would have been a quick fix to their problem unless they could make some kind of contraption that would capture the cat, but they might end up killing it after that, so idk.
@garethdean63829 жыл бұрын
Vegan Pop Tarts That cat isn't going for capture. The other cat is all cool, but that one is a monster.
