A pre-pandemic viewpoint of this part of the city, before it was inundated by changes due to the unprecedented influx of drug activity, homeless encampments, out of control crime, and retail gang crime sprees. It paints a very idyllic landscape of how things were then, reflecting the city’s history with urban renewal and transit improvements. Very memorable in many respects.

I'm watching this video from the year 2024 and it's sad how Capitol Hill changed, a lot of homeless crime, trash and some closed stores. I wish I lived in Seattle at that time.

For someone seeking to gain the most experience out of Seattle in 3 months, is it best to live in Ballard or Capitolol Hill?
@EnricoPozzo3 жыл бұрын
You cannot go wrong with either neighborhood. Both are great urban neighborhoods for different reasons. If you are only here 3 months, Capitol Hill is more centrally located and it will be a little easier to experience the rest of the city and region from this location. What brings you to Seattle?

Dude! You were walking on Cal Anderson park, not Karl. Ball feild is Bobby Morris feild. Do your homework. All the old houses being torn down to put up corporate apartments. No longer a place for creative artists like was before. Homeless people come up from downtown. Not like it was before gentrification. Nice place to visit...
@NothingToPointOut246 жыл бұрын
Seattle would be an amazing city if there weren't any people there. The Northwest as a whole for that matter.

Mr Literal has arrived. Let me dumb it down for you, Northwest visually is beautiful, the people are awful.

And why not be proud that your city is somewhere people want to be? Appreciate that it is not a ghost town that all of the businesses have left behind.
@nigga8516 жыл бұрын
Hey if you're not from the actual inner city of Seattle. Then you would understand. I'm assuming you folks are from the outskirts. What gentrification is doing is driving the less fortunate out of their home they grew up in
@patriciasimpsonnewton93955 жыл бұрын
@@nigga851 Not just the less fortunate either. Making a low 6 figure salary is no guarantee of being able to afford the high cost of housing anymore.
