Hi Nathan, why does the capo get a bad rap? i like the sound of the chords when I put on a capo. Great tips!
@NathanFleet7 ай бұрын
It shouldn’t get a bad rap. Ignore the haters. If you like it, use it. Capos are also a great way to keep your chords “ringing” where a bar chord wouldn’t have as much sustain.

HI! I'm lost! If I'm playing chords A D and E with the capo on the 2nd fret, what key am I in? Also, How did you figure it out? Thanks for your time and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!
@NathanFleet6 жыл бұрын
Hi Jim, ADE becomes B E F# so you are in the key of B major, which is up 2 steps from A

Hey, can anyone help me with answering this question? :) If I star in Em and I have the Capo on the 2nd fret, I take the root "E" and go up 2 = Gb or F#? Which one is it? And what about the minor, do I add the minor to the result like Nathan did with the Am example? Thanks guys!
@NathanFleet5 жыл бұрын
Either works but using F#m makes more sense as it falls into the keys nicely ( you see F#m in many if these ) also you do add the minor since you are still playing a minor chord
