This is something I have see over and over again. Many people feel that they need to be able to do something perfectly the first time they try something. If they are not able to do it perfectly and can never imagine that they will be able to do it perfectly, then they give up and don't even try. And with TV and KZbin showing all these people doing things to the extreme, it is easy to feel like you will never be that good. I think the better attitude is to ask yourself if you would enjoy trying to work towards a goal, even if you never achieve the most extreme example of perfection.

I read "We are incredibly proud to have been part of this!" in the video description and I felt so proud to had practice capoeira in my childhood after saw this video, to be part of it at some point after seeing the bridges that are being built between different cultures through capoeira. The capoeira as martial arts having a positive initiative to do it and being the tool to it. It's astonishing to see the connection between these two martial arts and it's incredibly beautiful to see the tenderness and warmth from practitioners of a so intense tradition-based martial arts such as Kung Fu towards this experience. An experience beautiful to see. I feel proud to be Brazilian right now and happy to watch an aspect very important of our culture such as Capoeira being able to something so beautiful, to being able to become the driving force towards this! Thank you, guys! Capoeira is a Brazilian martial art from slaves over five hundred years ago it’s called capoeira because the jungle they went to train in was called capoeira. It looks like a dance because for the slaves martial arts we’re illegal and they couldn’t practice it mastre Bimba made the first legal capoeira academy about 50 something years ago?
@nmagain245 жыл бұрын
It is rooted in an African fighting style/dance from Angola called Ngolo. The enslaved african brought it with them to Brasil during Slavery and masked it as dance while practicing and teaching it to each other, and they used it just as their forefathers had while they were in Brasil. Over time it turned into what you now see.

Really nice video that I can relate to. I had my first experience with capoeira during an annual training weekend which my kung fu school hosted. Our teacher invites several teachers in other disciplines to give workshops. During the capoeira session we eventually felt the energy and rhythm in the capoeira circle and we were able to start expressing ourselves. Before I knew it, the Tae Kwon Do dude and I were showing off our kicks and tricks to each other. After that, we witnessed a breakdancer vs a gymnast. Best day ever! It was after this weekend I started training with people who did capoeira, gymnastics, breakdancing, Tae Kwon Do, karate, systema, BJJ and of course (other styles of) kung fu. My advice is: find yourself a place where people are open-minded to other disciplines, so you can explore how to fully express yourself. If anything, this video is proof that it's worth it.

Me emocionei vendo esse vídeo!

This is so heart warming. The joy of sharing diametrically different cultural aspects, bringing us closer together. We are all one.

As soon as you don't give up, you never lose 💪✊👊🤛 I practiced myself both martial arts and I discovered that they are complementary, sometimes you have to externalize your energy and both Tai Chi and Capoeira do that, in a broader sense this message is so important because perfecting and art is not to be perfect but to be better day by day for yourself... That phrase is Gold

This is so great, and made me feel so inspired. Especially the part about that your movement has to be fun, and that you don't have to be great to be good at something. YES!

1:28 reminds me of those cheap sound effects you get in those old Kung-fu movies. Kind of nostalgic

It's so nice to see young people to find a common way to stay together. My fight today is to find a reason to believe that at least not all has been lost.

We can destroy worldly ignorance and racism if one culture listen to the other. Martial Arts in general been the bridge of that!!!!

I cam across this video today (15th May 2023). A friend whom I train Karate with told me about a Capoeira class near to my home, and I am inquisitive by nature, so I hopped on the internet, and found this video. And to see two martial arts, just vibing alongside each other, makes me want to start both! Amazing, simply that, amazing!

I have trained many martial arts, from Karate over Muay Thai to Kali/Escrima until I ended up at Capoeira and all of them had an inner beauty that often only revealed itself after the longer period of training! Thank you very much for this great video and the beautiful message behind it! To be open to new things, not to close oneself off to others, to share knowledge, love and passion for the things you do, to make friends, to train relaxed and have the joy of not leaving it out in the cold and to show it off and not to forget the roots behind the art! ^^ Muito obrigado!
