♥💛💚Saya-Caporal from Bolivia... It's not Andean, it's not from the highlands, it's not Peruvian either! Dance born in the Ch'ijini neighborhood of La Paz-Bolivia... presented for the first time in that same city in 1969, with Afro-Bolivian influences and background from Los Yungas of Bolivia: v The music of the rhythm - dance of the Saya-Caporal, derived - descends from the Afro-Bolivian Christmas Carol... which became known as Tundiqui-Chuntunqui, from which the Tuntuna-Chunchuna originated. The Saya-Caporal dance is inspired by the Afro-Bolivian Culture of the Yungas Paceños and is derived from the BOLIVIAN TUNDIQUI... This dance was presented in La-Paz Bolivia for the first time in 1969 and was brought to Cuzco-Peru only in 1975.❤💛💚 🤨 And there is nothing about Peru in its genesis ok. 😡

Tom, SSO! They are superb! Fantastic energy! Watching them dance and get wet in the rain made me wanna join them. The ladies are so lovely and they’re smiles are so contagious! The guys are nut simpatico! I’m not sure if they’re local. I know San Simon group is a huge Bolivian group. I’ll make sure to attend the Bolivian parade in Queens in the summer. Gracias!

Thanks for posting the dance parade.. they are all troopers to last in that rain. The ladies were lovely but the men had some incredible moves. DAMN who needs a gym when you can dance like that LOL

Playing in the rain is truly one of the most fun things to do in the world! As a child, I would always look forward to doing this. And you know, it rains for half a year in the Philippines, every year! That’s a lot of playing in the rain, yeah? However, mother rarely allows us to do so which I understand. If I wasn’t worried about my gadgets getting destroyed in the rain, I would probably join the Bolivians dance like there’s no tmrw in the rain. Watching them frolic made me overjoy and a little jealous at the same time. I wish I was wearing their skirt…next time.

Those from Peru have their different dances and they are ashamed to dance it in the US and they dance Bolivian dances saying that they are theirs, that is very wrong. all bolivia knows them to peru de plageo in their customs and meals that they have.
