Once Tony becomes boss the crews get all messed up pretty quickly. Obviously Tony was no longer a Capo. Junior's crew is effectively done once Mikey and the other guy were whacked and Junior was put on hosue arrest. Larry Barese got put on house arrest. Jimmy got whacked. Buffalo Ray was a rat and mostly a non-factor. Most of the guys (pretty much all of them) that got promoted to capos were better off as soldiers.

Tony also worked with the feds, but he was giving information on alleged middle eastern terrorists. Tony didn't want another 9/11. Not to mention what Tony did with Feech and the parole officer. Does that make Tony a snitch? It's debatable.
@sergiomendoza48503 жыл бұрын
@@davidwilliam9681 I think snitching on potential terrorists and people from their own clique are two different things entirely. Also what Tony did to feech was more favorable than killing him because it would be hard to sell to his underlings, it’s one of the few good decisions Tony actually makes. It’s the same reason why Tony doesn’t kill paulie on the boat, he wouldn’t be able to just lie it off like he did with Ralph. On the flip side circumstances is also exactly what killed Christopher, if it wasn’t so easy for Tony to claim the car accident killed Christopher he wouldn’t have been able to kill him when he did and how he did.
@dannickwoolfganglabonte67813 жыл бұрын

I think the Tony Blundetto arc wasn't as strong as the Richie or Ralphie narrative but I did still enjoy Steve Buscemi, I think the main issue was that the mob dynamics of New York weren't defined, we only saw a few new York guys it kinda seemed like, Joey, Phil and Bill were Johnny's only enforcers and that with them all gone Carmine Jr and Rusty could take over. 4 is still the most refined season in my eyes and 6 is the most thematically satisfying. Consider the evolution of the Crews in The Sopranos. Soprana crew - Was Johnny Sopranos Crew first, then Tony took over the crew with Silvio, Paulie, and Big Puss as his soldiers, and Christopher as his associate member (at first). Tony becomes head of the family and Paulie is made Capo of his crew, with Gigi, Christopher, and Patsy as soldiers, and Lil Paulie as an associate member. Paulie goes away to prison so Christopher takes over as Acting Capo. By the end of the series, Christopher, Gigi, and Big Puss are dead, Silvio is in a coma, Paulie was supposed to take over the Aprile Crew so I'd imagine Patsy would have become capo in his place. Tony is presumed either dead or in prison. Whatever happened after The Sopranos, the Crew had taken a big hit so it wasn't what it used to be. Aprile Crew - Was formerly Richie Aprile's Crew (I think) before he went away to prison, Jackie Aprile takes over the crew, not much is known about it before the show starts but it seems Jackie sent them away to Florida when he became Boss to avoid any conflicts. Of the soldiers who were in the crew at the start of the series, we know Ralph Cifaretto was a soldier, and Vito was a soldier. Donny K was an associate with the crew. Richie Aprile then takes over the Aprile crew after his release from prison. Richie is murdered by Janice and Gigi is transferred from The Soprano Crew and becomes Capo. At this point, Eugene is "made" alongside Christopher and becomes a soldier in the Aprile Crew. Gigi dies taking a shit and Ralph becomes capo. Donny K gets brutally beaten by Johnny Sack and he is never seen or heard of again. Ralph is killed by Tony and Vito takes over. Vito is murdered by Phil and Carlo Gervasi is made Capo. Carlo then flips. Tony plans to make Paulie the Capo of the Aprile Crew. Whatever happened after The Sopranos, all the Capos are dead, except for Carlo who has "flipped", Eugene committed suicide, and nobody knows the future of the crew. Junior's Crew - Junior Soprano is Capo of his own crew, which he himself formed. Some of his oldest members were present in the series who were probably the first soldiers of his crew too. Bobby Bacclieri Sr was a famed soldier in the crew, as were Murf Lupo and Beppy Scero. At the start of the series you had Mikey Palmice, Chucky Signore, Gigi, Patsy, and Philly Parisi, and Bobby Bacclieri Jnr. When Junior becomes boss, Philly Parisi becomes Capo of his crew. Philly is later whacked by Gigi, and Murf takes over a capo. Both Mikey and Chucky are killed by Tony and his Crew. Gigi is transferred from Junior's crew to the Soprano crew but then transferred to the Aprile Crew. Patsy is also transferred to Tony's crew as well. Bobby ends up taking care of Junior then is promoted to Capo of Junior's crew replacing Murf. Bobby is later killed by New York. By the end of the series, Junior's crew is pretty much dead. I don't think anyone is left from that crew.

This woulda never happened if I became boss. Here's how it would have went down If I became boss. Tony, Paulie, Pussy, Chris, Larry and Ally Barese get clipped. Silvio has the choice of falling in with the new leadership or having the same fate as the others mentioned above. If he vows his loyalty to me he stays consigliere. Junior becomes my underboss. I install Ralphie as Captain of my old crew, Bobby is appointed acting captain of the Barese crew, the Curto, Gervasi crews remain intact and Patsy Parisi is appointed captain of the Gaultieri crew. New York would get fucked up in the war with me as the king of the volcano because I would still retain: Furio (no Carmella to fuck with him) Ralphie (no Pie-O-Mie and even if there was I wouldn't give a shit), Feech LaManna (He would never refer to me as kid or disrespect me like he did with Tony) Jackie Jr. is groomed to his full potential. Those who still die: Vito (gay) Eugene (I don't let him go to Florida either) Ray Curto (dies in FBI car).

Explain to me what Jackie Jr's full potential is? I'm thinking sweep up guy at the pizzeria. ;)

beav1962 Somebody has to drive the boss. He would probably make a good bodyguard/ goon. Not too smart, but he can rough up pretty good. Teach him to speak when spoken to, give him an income on account of his relation to his old man. A partner at a card game. He doesn't run it, he gets a percentage because he's little lord shinebox.

@@richieaprile667 Sounds nice. Before Tony B pops up out of nowhere and starts hitting people in your crew for taking out his two cousins.

What happened to all those guys? I don't remember seeing them in later seasons.

Jimmy was killed at the end of S1 Larry Boy's actor got in trouble in real life, and was left off the show. Ray Curto stayed until he died S5(?). The attention went to Sil, Paulie, and Chris after S1.

It's funny basically every Capo was an informant and the FBI still didn't really have shit on any of these guys. I love how incompetent the FBI are in the show.

Jackie by far was a better leader. Everything got fucked up under Tony.

Larry had Rusty’s back at the table even when the other guys busted on him. Loyalty.
