I have a 15' West Wight Potter and found this both super helpful and very approachable. The Potter is a similar size, and this makes me more confident that I can get her upright when out away from shore.

You got to be pretty slick to do the dry capsize. I would still be releasing the sheet or pointing into irons.

Great video! I can right my 6 foot beam18 footer solo but I like your technique with the halyard loop as a step up on the board. I'm going to try that. Great job!

one thing you probably forgot is to cut the sheets first before attempting to right the boat so it doesn't start sailing off on you and the sails aren't acting like a giant keel or rudder fighting it coming back upright. This is especially true if she goes full turtle.

This is a knock down not a capsize; in a capsize the mast is at 180 degrees to horizon not 90 degrees.

So.....just got a capri rotted to the fiberglass its hatd to imagine the wood bits had this much strength when they were new, looks like this boat is a fusion of a cal 20 and a sunfish ha
