The Tekton long handle comfort grip with a flex head would be nice. Capri has long low profile ones that are non comfort grip that I will pick up. It’s just annoying how cold my tools get when I have a winter job that needs to get done. A large heated shop is a life goal of mine.

That’s good information. Thanks for sharing. I have heard that Tekton has great customer service, and that is one thing to consider when buying from an online company, not sure I have heard of capri has great customer service as well. @@vchow6749 Yea I have had issues with my Pittsburgh push button release, and I wasn’t sure if it was because it was Pittsburgh or just the push button design not quite dialed in yet. At least with the capri you wouldn’t have to worry about it.

I would suggest Tekton Handle is more beefy but not to beefy. The Capri is smaller more like a matco ratchet.

Thank you quickwrench for the information. I haven’t held either so your input is helpful. My concern with capri being so thin is that I already don’t care for the gear wrench comfort design. I appreciate your input good sir.

I have the non-comfort grip flex head Capri in 3/8" and 1/2". They're good, but I like my Gearwrench 84t and MATCO 88s better, the head is a bit slimmer on the GW & MATCO than the Capri and it feels like the Capris have more back drag. MATCO BFR88B is $100 but I feel they're worth it. I have 1 Comfort Grip Ratchet and it's a WERA 8000 B 3/8 Zyklop; OMFG it's AMAZING in the hand and so smooth ($60 at the moment). But it is not a slim head. I'm giving the 3/8 Capri to my Dad and the 1/2" is going to go in the Old Lady's Jeep trail kit.
@twoalphatools Жыл бұрын
“OMFG” 😂. Wera does have a unique handle but I hear other content created praise the handle design of them. I like the low profile design of the capri, and I will probably grab the 3/8 slim flex head to match. As for tool truck brands, I’m always checking pawn shops for a long 3/8”. They can’t keep them in stock though. Jeep trail kits are a must. Thanks for sharing!

I don't have either but if the grip matters to you most get the capri if you want a flex head or something get the tekton. I personally have Icon comfort grips and flex heads but I also recently bought the gear wrench comfort grip in 120 xp and 90 tooth and love all of them. To me I want a flex head comfort grip so I chose gear wrench and icon. I hope capri releases a flex head comfort grip but tekton would get my money because they actually offer one with those features. I do believe capri has the better grip so thats my opinion. I also have the non comfort grip Milwaukee and they feel really nice probably the best gearing but they don't have a comfort grip.

I do not own a Capri or Tekton ratchet, but i have held the Tekton when i saw them at SEMA last year. For a standard fixed head ratchet, i would have to say that the Tekton felt decent in my hand. I own a few of the Gearwrench ratchets with the same grip as the one you have and i like that grip. Clearly comfort grip handles are not one size fits all. My vote is Tekton.
@twoalphatools Жыл бұрын
Thank you, I appreciate your input. Both comfort grips seem to hold the same argument as you have to hold them to know if you will like it. I like the full roundness of the Pittsburgh grip, so the Gearwrench grip really throws the comfortably feel off when you hold the two, and these two grips are unique in their own way. Thanks again for commenting, bye for now.
