Dude, you’ve given me so much inspiration to tackle the paint on my Caprices myself. Like you, I’ve painted lots of small objects but never a car. You make it look easy enough though I’m gonna throw a booth up in my backyard and paint both of mine next spring. I can’t afford the $30K it will take to get the paint jobs I want done at a shop but I can afford all the materials to do it myself.

On this I used matrix ms52 high solids

No I may have done it incorrectly in the video it seems. I had water drops on it but I didn’t hit it with clear prior to make it bead up correctly. I just used a different technique to do a similar look. It didn’t quite pop like some I see but it had its own look. Not sure what way I’m going to use on the next one. I never done the one with wet clear coat so maybe?

How is that fortress air compressor holding up for you paint gun? Plan on picking one up for painting small stuff.

It didn’t really cut it. For painting it may do ok but it wasn’t good enough for what I needed. I ended up with a 65 gallon to get this all done. One of the videos I talk about the compressor.
