Yep you got my attention. I usually seal mine of with a couple of coats of clear, just to hold the dust of., and mess ups. There's enough on that to let me scuff it of before I lightly sand for final coating. I've been caught out in the past. with everything from over enthusiastic customers, to air brush back fires. And the cat from next door. Or that bit you didn't notice wasn't quite right, then a month later you spot that you taped it back wards....

@SlickWorks Жыл бұрын
Oh yes, you always get tape roll back if you leave it for a couple days. Actually the tape i used was all cheap amazon chinese tape lol. Garbage compared to the fbs tape Im using these days. Fbs has softness ratings. red being the softest, can take some real tight turns! fbs is definitely the way to go

When doing multiple patterns that won't be cleared for a while like what you just did, is there something you put over the patterns to keep topcoat window open or does candy have a long open window?

Itll get a good wash and scrub with grey scotchbrite before going to clear. This will scuff the surface and get rid of any nasty adhesion tape transfer.

what did you do wrong, and what would you do differently to keep the yellow candy from peeling up with the mask like it did? That happens to me often but I don't know what Im doing wrong to fix it.
@SlickWorks10 ай бұрын
The fix is this: when you think its cured enough to pull the tape off, wait another 4 hours before pulling the tape off. The issue was getting too excited to see the end result and pulling tape too soon. Waiting has solved every issue
