Eugene Rousseau plays Bonneau. From an lp album called "The Virtuoso Saxophone", Coronet 1601.
From the back of the album,
"Bonneau's Caprice for unaccompanied saxophone holds a place comparable to the Bach Chaconne for violin, in that it is a piece which places extraordinary demands upon the performer. While it is only several minutes in length, the Caprice includes a tremendous number of notes and a formidable array of technical difficulties for the saxophonist. At the same time, one must hasten to add that this piece possesses a charm and a gaiety which most often makes the listener quite unaware of the difficulty. It has been said that much of twentieth-century French music is paradoxical, in that the difficulties of performance are great, while the mood created is often so light-hearted. Bonneau's Caprice is a great challenge to any saxophonist, and a pleasure to almost any listener."
