Caprock Canyon- Saving the Southern Plains Bison

Just visited this park and had numerous views of this spectacular herd, including on foot when hiking, and unexpected. When in a car, they get so close, you could reach out and touch them but you can't for safety. The Bison story is both sad and uplifting at the same time. We can't change the past but we can work on the future and that is what the State of Texas has done with this magnificent animal.
