I think people forget that Sam’s entire suit was made by the Wakandans. Wings, suit and gear are all Vibranium. While Sam doesn’t have the inherent super power, full-body Vibranium gear does give him an edge. And dammit, Sam was still an Avenger prior to being given the mantle of Cap. He’s no slouch.
