That's how I feel with Nico actually. Idk I guess I'm playing cap wrong. The way I play nico and hunter, I can keep all my guys alive the whole match and deal tons of damage. Blade usually tags along to get marked and keep himself alive and deal bleed damage. But I've been playing this game so different. I thought it was like xcom and after really digging in on my day off I realize it's more like playing a good version of that old marvel turn based game that sucked

Thanks for your build videos. I still watch them in 2024, and I plan to use the build sad 😢 that the developer didn't get the support because people didn't like the style of the game, but I love the game

Hmm. For me, I noticed that I stopped using Shield Bounce specifically because it was taking up cardplays. For me, I emphasized on his card draw potential. Since there's the possibility for you to start a mission without any of the cards you want. I built my Captain America to emphasize on drawing more random cards. He's in teams that have characters who struggle with drawing their own cards. I also play him as a general filler though especially because I designed him to fix bad first turns. 2 Brooklyn Handshakes (Free) 2 Quick punches (Draw 1 Hero) 2 Dig In (Free) 1 The Best Defense (+2 Heroics) 1 Spang (Quick)

Funny you mention that. So I loathed him from the start. His damage is anemic, his passive block is worthless, and he takes luck of the draw to really be effective. I shared my displeasure about him on another platform, and someone on there told me they play him as designated card dealer. I got a laugh at that, but sure enough he is very, very, good at drawing cards. So that's how I incorporate him when I needed him. Either for research or mission specifics. In the end, tanking in this game in general is lackluster and a waste. I prefer to kill shit, as quickly as possible, vs try my luck at the RNG hand.

Shield bounce is refunded when you kill marked enemies. Its massive AOE damage and vulnerability is nice to soften up the packs.

Johnny I don't understand why you would cheat by using some mod to boost all your ability scores. Great build with the cards but I don't understand the need for cheating with this one.

Don't understand why so many want to just max out dps to kill everything easy when ita just a single player game. Take your time and make some fun builds. It's not like there's any competetive play anyway.

This game takes a lot of time to play. Nothing sucks more then doing a stage mutiple times cause you didn't take the time to really build a character. My cap couldn't tank anymore and once I redid my build he can survive more then a round.

I never understood the obsession with Capt. he is down there as one of the least used heros for me. Sure, his character is cool, and book club was fun, but in battles he just doesn't suit my playstyle. The best tank in the game is called Hunter, and your other two alleys should be max DPS to make sure things get dead quick. That's why my A Team is Hunter, Blade, Marvel, Ironman, and Strange. You can't go wrong with any of those.

This is why this game is great; you play that way; others play successfully differently OR use Cap in a way that works for them. Personally, I stopped using Cap until I tweaked him more like this. Still not my first choice but I do enjoy how he CAN play esp as a debuffers/draw engine with some nice quick attacks. But yeah, I dont use him much as I wish I could.

Hunter is a support / dps for me. No one really needs to tank in this game. Dead enemies don't do damage.

@@Channel5Gaming Fortify is a big part of my Hunter gimmick. I have two. I also pack a strength gadget too. I taunt key targets with Hunter, and let her counter kill or severely hurt what I didn't kill with Blade or Marvel on the enemy turn. That's about as much tanking as I do in this game.

Just to be sure right? If you mod Tactician with "Apply 2 Strengthened", only Cap gets it, correct? Even if it gives allies block too. Edit: Yeah I see, it becomes "Gain 2 Strengthened" on the card.

How do I increase my Fortitude ?

There is two ways, first is on the training yard, every single day you can do a training yard session for the hero of your choice, so just look when it says + Fortitude for the hero chosen. Second, increasing the friendship level with that specific hero, every single level it throws a random increased stat for that specific hero.

I'm going through this game so slow. I barely just did the venom Bell mission and am hunter level 23 or some shit. I haven't even gotten the moon seal. 60 in game days. I just started using Cap, and we're already half way maxed on friendship with his book in book club coming up tonight. Idk why I thought u were supposed to play this game like xcom. So I was doing all the side missions and buying all the upgrades asap. So I'm super overpowered playing on ultimate difficulty. It's crazy. But I like captain because he's a bit of a challenge to play at first.
