Been smoking pipes on and off for the last 3 years and I'm finally getting back into it after a short break. My absolute favorite blends are codgers. I do love non codger blends and smoke them from time to time but I absolutely love the codgers. So far my favorite is John Bull Fragrant English.

Royal is excellent - I have a ton of high-end tobaccos, but Royal is my quick, always great smoke.

Unfortunately the tucker Ga plant is gone. All the STG/Lane stuff is made in denmark. I have heard they may discontinue some of the blends eventually. Sir Walter used to be made right here in Louisville. Matter of fact I knew they guy that had the redesigned package that never came out....

They must have had one hell of a Blackstock.. I read they were suppose to close in 2020 but I keep getting pouches with the "made in the USA Tucker GA plant" on them...

@@PaladinPiper That might be the case I just double checked the pouches i got in yesterday from smoking pipes... the Half & Half say GA Plant and they Sir Walter Raleigh say Denmark.. so I think you might be correct on that....

It will be hard for me to tell locally, as I think I'm the only one that buys pipe tobacco around here lol. All the ones on the shelf still say Tucker, GA.

Wow! I'm surprised! Thought for sure it would be SWR, but to each his own 👍. I believe SWR used to be made by Brown & Williamson who also made Raleigh cigarettes along with Kool and several others and B&W sold out any remaining brands to other companies. I know this video is older, but i would have compared SRWA to Royal. SWRA tends to have a lot more body and fullness than Royal. I like both.

SWR is great. Laid back all day type. And if you've had 1Q, I'm convinced you've had Royal. I'm not going to say they are the same thing, but I will say that I can't really tell them apart.

SWR regular was my all day smoke for two years before I switched to Prince Albert. SWR has been made since 1927.

Carter Hall. I like the flavor of CBR but CH makes for a dryer, cooler smoke. If you smoke CH slowly the chocolate notes really sing.

It will be a difficult decision by far, they both have their place in the tobacco world, in arguably different places. It all comes down to which one tickled my fancy more during the recording.
