What's your favourite Captain Black moment?

Fake limo driver and car crusher from the first two parter. "It's a shortcut. I'm cutting short your life." Also it's a riddle for the ages how Gerry Anderson managed to keep that scene where Black straight up shoots his henchwoman in the face rather than pay her. "Money, the green stuff. I've got some green for you." Hell, hard to choose a Black moment since he had so many, the rain episode was good too. "We had to stop the experiment, it could have killed thousands" "That was the whole point" (backhands corporate guy across the room)

Mine when he has a fight with Scarlet on the satellite dish in Mercury Falling.

The Toxic Rain Episode, where Scarlet's humanity and emotion rose to the top, after his potential love interest died. I'll toss in the Engineering scene, where Scarlet is being overwhelmed by nano-robots, yet manages to save the day.

The new series' expanded back story for Captain Black was excellent. I always thought he got a raw deal in the original series

He didn’t. He’s perfectly suited to the style of the original series. Not only is he excellently depicted as a mysterious threat looming in the background, a personification of death, and the physical embodiment of the main antagonists, him being possessed by the very beings he tried to destroy and aiding them in their war of nerves against humanity which he unwittingly started adds a layer of irony and tragedy to the character and the series as a whole.

Gotta hand it to the team, Captain Black is probably as good here as the original and he talks a lot more too, explaining a bit more of the lore. Plus the Mysteron regeneration of the dead into their agents is pretty convincing.

I always remembered Captain Black as a man of few words who would always hide in the shadows and we never really saw him intereact with Captain Scarlet or any of the Spectrum members. The new Captain Scarlet series did a wonderful job in not only giving Captain Black a personality but gave him a backstory and a history with Captain Scarlet & Destiny Angel as i always remembered his background was shrouded in mystery. For me, my all time favourite moment from the show was seeing Black brought back from the dead after smashing out of the coffin and walking out like a true deadman walking. My all time favourite villain from the Gerry & Sylvia Anderson shows.

@@GerryAndersonTV it’s strange how new captain scarlet can keep the dark nature that original captain scarlet had but I feel the lack of blood is confusing I feel when there’s moments of people being shot they should show the blood coming out I mean I know captain blue in storm at the end of the world when he got shot he was shown with blood on his uniform but he never had any blood coming out of him when he was getting shot 🤔
