Thanks for sharing. I made some nice comfy polar fleece shorts, and they came out nice, but I am really interested in making more traditional clothing from other cultures, and your Caftan tutorial looks like a great place to start. I want to make a really colourful one and go shopping in it. Going to have to be so brave, as I am super shy. I can do it. :) take care.

No wayyy!!! Thank you so MUCH!! I have "collected" a ton of appeal patterns, but haven't done a single one yet. I sew but mainly do quilts and home dec projects, so I've been scared to try my first pattern. . I think I'll start with this in one ..do lesbians women wear these too or mainly just gay men?? Sorry for the brutal honesty and bluntness but my young daughter is lesbian and I don't know she would like something like this or not...... I'm being serious by the way.. my daughter's 23yr old and lesbian but I don't know man, I'm old and ignorant. I know I love her and have never ever made her feel like she can't Live HER TRUTH. ITS CRAZY IM OUR DAM FAM. CUZ IM A HARDCORE BIBLE BANGING PENTECOSTAL CHRISTIAN!!! LMBO. SERIOUSLY THO.. IN PENTECOST ON CHRISTIAN DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE TO LOSE YOUR SENSE OF HUMOR OR LOVE FOR OTHERS JUST FYI. OKIE DOKIE I'M RAMBLING BUT PLEASE LET ME KNOW I AM CURIOUS IS THIS JUST A MAN THING OR IS IT FOR THE FEMALES AS WELL

OMG! Okay, I’ve been watching many caftan diy videos. I’m in a local, outdoor Covid friendly production of “COMPANY” in Northern Ca. I am performing the role of Joanne!! The theaters are struggling to get back on their feet. So rather than have costumers pull something together, I’m making my own lovely caftan!

Thanks Dale, loved it. Now to make mini caftans for the grandsons, to hopefully get them to wear clothing at home, lol. We might be in the sub tropics, but it is winter here, lol. Blessings to you, John, the fur babies and loved ones. Hugs

I am sorry I missed this on release date! It is just the info and chuckle I needed. There is an IG sewcial called #caftansandcocktails2020 which is just posting a pic of ya in your handmade caftan with your fave drink. I tried a couple patterns and not that thrilled. Now this speaks to me!! I love love loved your photo shoot! :D I plan on looking in my stash and seeing if I can whip this up for tomorrows cocktail meet up. I hope you join us! This looks like the caftan I've been needing and I am wondering if my guys would like longer ones out of linen. That would be so extra breezy!

Hi, Dale I bought your fabrics at Monica’s Quilting and I am doing a large bed spread, I got the blues, bage and the gold and blue dots . I am a quilt beginner and I am having to of fun. I also got the embroidery fabric that you wear in your video, the one in red, that you maybe bought at Joan’s fabric, I got the blue one and made a shirt to myself, Monica at the store loved it. I think your design in blues and gold/yellow together makes a very elegant combination. Do have a studio or a store?
