People may argue about how inefficient it is, But what's worse: launching a small craft from earth to join other parts in space using small amounts of fuel. or using a ton of fuel to launch several tons worth of mecha from earth into space? Also why land the whole mech when you just land a small craft?
@MrOmegatronic4 жыл бұрын
Honestly, the part that strikes me as ridiculously inefficient is the torso. It consists of three parts: Main torso assembly, left arm, and right arm. The arms are attached to the main assembly during the docking procedure, due to the mecha's modular design. That's not the inefficient part. What's inefficient is that this happens _while the torso is being launched through the docking railgun_ (or whatever they're using there). Not only is the torso assembly being propelled by the railgun, not only are the mecha's arms being propelled by the railgun, but *the entire assembly line is being propelled by the railgun* . Just look at how the mecha's arms are attached: A pair of robotic arms position them to dock with the main torso, _while the entire thing is being propelled along at high speeds_ . I know it's meant to look cool, and it does. But it's just a little touch that puts the "ridiculous" in "ridiculously awesome", and... honestly, it makes the entire thing that much better for it. xD It's so silly that it loops around to badass.
