CAPTAIN gets AMAZING BIRTHDAY SURPRISE! - Episode 47

In this episode Captain Colin gets an incredible surprise visit from his sister Monica for his birthday! But the show must go on, as they tackle job after job on their hurricane damaged catamaran to prepare for splashing the boat in the next few weeks.
SV Parlay is a hurricane damaged 2012 Lagoon 450 Catamaran bought in Tortola, BVI at the beginning of 2018. Colin and his friend spent 4 months getting her seaworthy, before setting sail across the Caribbean. Follow our journey as we continue to fix her and eventually circumnavigate the globe!

Have you seen the other option for the Bimini hatches? Just put a lip under the edge of the Bimini. Only 40mm square edge stops the water running over and under, instead it runs to the lip and drops straight down. So so so ready to install with just some sikaflex and tapping screws!

Man I feel sorry for the next owner!!! 5200 is for skin fittings and super structure fitting! As in glueing the hard top to the boat. While trying to get a hard top of an 8.5m boat I’ve lifted the entire thing( boat and all) off the ground buy the 2x 100mm by 300mm 5200 glue that stuff is strong!!!!! This is a place the has 6x 150mm coach bolts to hold it solid and the 5200 alone lifts the entire boat.

Oh no, I hate to say it but you shouldn't have to wet sand and buff gel coat. Maybe a couple small spots but that's pretty bad. You guys spent a lot of time making the body work perfect for them to dry spray gel coat like non-skid. You can buff it out and make it look nice man that's a lot of unnecessary work. Hope you didn't pay those guys much for that job. I feel really bad even saying this cuz I've watched you guys put in a ridiculous amount of work to make this boat perfect. You guys are still kick its ass and make it nice I just hate seeing to do all that unnecessary extra work.
