I showed my 10 year old granddaughter the Captain while watching her last week. I wasn’t sure if she would like it-being used to so much technology. Guess what?! She was mesmerized!! She loved everything about it. What a happy feeling it gave me!😃

Thank you Captain Kangaroo for a wonderful childhood . I think I watched him every weekday for 6 years . I loved hearing Susie Snowflake, listening to Georgie the Ghost and Mike and the Steam Shovel . Mr. Greenjeans and Grandfather Clock, Bunny Rabbit and Mr. Moose . You helped raise us Baby Boomers !

GenX too! I remember "This portion of Captain Kangaroo sponsored by Kellogg's cereals," and they'd have a box of Apple Jacks or Corn Pops (the old box with the cowboy on it) on display. I also remember the Schwinn shout-outs.
