SPOILER WARNING IN SECOND PARAGRAPH ​​⁠I watched it while it was found it’s story ok nothing new the one part about it was it’s use of multiple art styles including 8-bit action sequences and pixelated live action scenes much like some of the old games one being one of the og mortal combat games I think annihilation otherwise it wasn’t anything to ride home on frog assassin and rayman were the more memorable parts. With 6 episodes 30 minutes a piece if you have the time you should at least enjoy some parts of it. But I’ve realized adi is best with cool action scenes not so much at heart shattering moments. SPOILERS HERE: So while watching it the suicide squad team made up of Ubisoft characters was a cool concept I personally wish it stuck with it longer than two episodes to properly build the characters. Namely the ones that felt set up to be main characters. Captain lazerhawk was ok but he just existed didn’t have much life in him. Meanwhile the best characters I saw in the show was the frog, the girl (not the warden) and rayman. For me this show seemed like it was a 6 season run in the span of 6, 30 minute episodes. Warden being a villian was kinda bland I wish she was in it for her own good and not for the company. It never felt like there were any stakes in anything so many people set up as protagonist killed off withing 15 minutes of meeting them with them having maybe 7 minutes or less of screentime, world building was unique I give it a 6/10 for it as a whole, but if I judged it on its creative ways of showing action scenes and tying back to the fact these characters came from video games I’d give it an 8/10 I would have loved the big finale been the consequences of opening the portal to Raymans world and seeing rayman having to join them to fight the rabbits but needless to say I did enjoy it. But it’s not going to stick with me for long. There wasn’t a lot for me to gain from it, but it as a standalone show was enjoyable enough to keep me going with the slowest episodes being 4 and 5 I think the finale should have been a two parter and their been hints early on as to who the warden stood for, because there wasn’t anything to go off of and so when she switched it was jarring after seeing what looked like character growth, it wasn’t shocking it just left me asking “wtf was all that for then?” The only thing set up was the arm virus but even then, so much was dumped in 30 minutes with next to no time for the viewer to be able to absorb it properly, that it would probably need a second or 3rd watch to get everything from it. It’s just not a show I would sit down and watch again because it’s fun, but bland, with far too fast pacing for me. But I congratulate the creators for being able to make stuff like this on a higher budget.
