I’m not a safety freak but a friend that I take out boating every once n a while on a river will insist to me that I let her float through some rapids and pick her up on the other side - and even without a lifejacket (because she’s a good swimmer)... I get so frustrated so quickly, then she gets defensive and claims I don’t have any faith in her swimming capabilities... FFS it’s not about that! Even the best swimmers drown, so how much do you value your life? Completely reckless and total nonsense.

I’m a certified life guard and have never and will never swim at night never i also was brought up on a 36 ft boat no one ever got in the water once it got dark just very dangerous and irresponsible good for you captain lee

In Hawaii, it’s a little different. My brother and sister are both certified lifeguards for the City and County of Honolulu, and my brother-in-law is a Search and Rescue lifeguard. They go night surfing sometimes, so I’m a tad biased when it comes to swimming at night 🏄🏼‍♂️ There are risks and factors that come into play when swimming at night. I wouldn’t recommend it to drunk people.

I used to work at a high end department store. We called our customers guests and were told that since they were guests they got the best of everything. But if it got to the point where they were rude, destructive or stole you would treat them like you would a guest in your house who did that. Throw them out.
