I grew up in this time period there had to be about 6 genres that all collided in late. 70s - mid 80s. A lot of it nobody new what to call it. I called it electro funk because it wasn't quite hip hop yet. One of the biggest influences was Kraftwerk on this whole genre.

Oh yeah there were about 10-15 of these songs. Not dance not disco not hip hop...it was electro funk Clear,play at your own risk,it's time,electric kingdom. Kraftwerk was a huge influence being one of the bands the first introduced all this synth music. You hear their beats in so many songs
