Looks like all their budget was spent on Crash, who looks remarkably like a ReSaurus figure! It could also be the case that they were provided with a Crash model but not a Cortex one and they decided to do their own thing. I'd love to know!

Don't take it too personally 😝 I just hate that a random, boring, ugly character was in the game at launch instead of genuine legacy Crash characters that Rumble should be celebrating.

@@bandicootcollector I sorta get what you mean, but "celebrating crash's legacy" has basically all the series has been doing over the past few games and I feel like new concepts and characters are needed. constant fanservice and nostalgia baiting is just making the series go in circles with nothing new or interesting, y'know? i love legacy characters too, but "remember this guy? they're in the game now!" stopped being exciting after nitro-fueled.

​@iscopeeee I think that's also a fair stance to have. But personally I don't see adding a random character as doing any of that. Rumble has no story more, it's just a bunch of party games and, like Nitro-Fueled, is made to celebrate the legacy of Crash. The only draw to playing Crash Team Rumble is that people like the characters. If it wasn't a Crash game I certainly wouldn't play it. There are other reasons, but the main reason I dislike CatBat is because he's on every single promotion and piece of artwork as if he means something when actually it's just a dull character nobody knows or cares anything about.

Catbat should’ve been replaced with Nina. Nina is a very popular character,more popular then tawna who gets mistaken as coco to the casual crash audience. Catbat feels like a shitty self insert made to grab the mentally ill crowd who lives on Twitter.
