In the first battle, the number of army losses starts to increase rapidly at 900K dead Zombies, while in the 2nd battle it starts at 760K, which means zombies made a faster breakthrough in the 2nd. The butterfly effect - slight change in initial conditions can result in vastly different outcomes.

Um all the tanks would have to do is drive over the zombie hoards, I'm fairly certain zombies can't stop 10 ton tank.

Seeing the tanks starting to get swallowed up by the mound of corpses was morbidly cool. If anyone's a fan of Max Brooks' World War Z (NOT the film), this puts the Battle of Yonkers into perspective, if the horde from Manhattan Island was indeed "millions".

This does assume infinite ammo, no breakages, no overheating barrels, no stoppages, you would get stoppages after heavy use, rifles need cleaning, and them just standing in one place, no tactics, oh and running zombies.

Even in WW2, combined arms was a thing. Artillery was the king of the battlefield with supporting air. After artillery and air, heavy machine guns and armor would tear into their ranks. Since zombies cannot take out tanks they would just drive them into mush. The real issue would be ammo. Apparently in this scenario ammo was not a consideration.

The tank unit is very passive and why are there no machine guns in the tanks? It would be more useful if they marched on the enemy instead of just shooting with cannonballs.

If it was 3,000,000 living soldiers, I'd agree, but the psychological impact of an armored charge is kind of wasted on zombies. And there are so many that the tanks would bog down if they just tried to ram them all.

@@TheDeadThatLive You're right, but the guns of the tank unit are always in close combat, even though they can shoot at longer distances. They need to take control of the enemy at a greater distance.

Кто так воюет??? Танк это бронированная манёвренная боевая единица. Надо танковыми клиньями рассекать армию зомби и затормаживать их продвижения. Пехота тоже не должна стоять на месте, если нет защитных сооружений, а окружать и уничтожать противника.
