Karkat Vantas hey, I'm pretty sure you are an amazing cosplayer! Feferi and Eridan is very hard to cosplay. Remember, nobody thinks your costume is ugly or stupid. The important thing is that you have fun :)

So.. Question: (I'll always be bottled with questions) I'm going to my second convention (first one did have costume) and I saw some HS's and I felt really darn shy! (Stupid me!) I didn't even go near them whatsoever. But this year, I finally gotten my sollux Cosplay done~ I want to join in and not be shy. I feel a little embarrassed, but I know it's something I love. So my main point is... How can you encounter a random group of Homestuck Cosplayers? It's an odd question, but man, it sure would help a ton! :)

I know how you feel. when I started to cosplay I was really shy, too. but most cosplayers are super nice and it's easy to start a conversation with someone who has the same passion as you do. I've actually never seen a group of cosplayers at a convention that wouldn't want another cosplayer to join them. sure, some can be dumb but you'll quickly find out who is nice. it's kinda hard to explain but it's like this: when people dress up as someone they are not, they actually show you how they really are. nobody will be able to judge you by your real outward appearance (which is kinda ironic) and you can only decide whether you like someone based on their character. so brace up, go to them, ask questions about their cosplays, be in character, joke around and most important: have fun! because of this, I was able to make so many nice friends who I would have never met without cosplay. I hope I could help you♥

i have a question that i feel kind of stupid asking but, I am sort of young for cosplaying and I wanted to know if people react differently depending on your age?

actually for most cosplayers age doesn't matter at all. for instance, the youngest in our group are 14, the oldest are 20. you couldn't even tell how old we are cause we're all basically acting like kids when we are together. and also, with all that make up, wigs and costume stuff on it's pretty hard to guess a cosplayers age and honestly I've never seen that someone has been critisised because of his age. it's a bit different to me, because I'm 18 and when I'm in cosplay most people think I'm older so again, it actually doesn't matter what your age is. give it a try and I'm sure you'll meet other young cosplayers who think similar as you do :)

mine were acutally labeled as vampire ears. I really don't know how they came up with this tbh. maybe you could try some synonyms? like latex application? but yea they're really kinda hard to find.
