Thanks for the comparo CD! Looks like the naked one was more contrasty. The thumb pro seemed grainy and a bit soft. I'd pick the naked over the pro based on this comparison.

The pro defaults to less contrast so that you can adjust it later so on a dull day it may look brighter. All can be adjusted in settings.

I noticed you put a comparison the problem is that a side by side doesn't really work if the export for the whole thing is set to a resolution, yes we can tell maybe color differences and how each handles exposure and like you said the fov but that's about it.

hi the runcam does not have a battery, what cable is needed to connect the camera to the flight controller? or a lipo? do you know where to find it?

I don't have those 2-pin connectors, I just have a 3-pin with 2 wires on my kuda.

Thumb pro 4k can be triggered by rc controller/ betaflight. This is so good! I only discovered this when I had ordered the 1080p hd version :( ... lol :)

nice to see the Thumbs in action. Looking for something lighter and simpler with longer record times than the Go and Go2 cams by Insta360. The i360 software for the Go cams is super frustrating imho. I just want a uSD card please. According to some they can be well stabilized in Davinci Resolve, with perhaps better results than Gyroflow.

The Pro version appears to record in something close to Dlog. The details are better, too.

Yes, the 4K is a much more detailed image than the 1080p. You can add contrast, etc in the settings. I just left everything on default.

Did you change the cable on your drone to fly the thumb pro sine it had a different plug?

Nope. The existing cable just had a Positive/Negative, so I just plugged it into the Positive/Negative in the back of the Thumb Pro.

i have runcam 5 orange, beat and abused it! the orange is far superior the the SMO released over a year later. i got the smo just days before the thumb was realeased, huge mistake. couldn't send smo back, wish i could have, it just collects dust. then i got the thumb for my lr4, it lacked quality but still was great, it spent over a month in top of a tree during lots of rainy days, got it back on crazy windy day, still works, unfortunately my thumb pro arrived last Thursday DOA, all it does is get hot, no lights, not recording... runcam asked for video, i sent, then no reply, guess im screwed

Could be your micro sd card is the issue, or could be your power connection, or you have a defective unit. I had the orange RunCam 5 with a similar issue and I did a factory refresh and it worked great. There is certainly a factory refresh for the thumb cameras but I don’t know the sequence, only RUNCAM support can provide that.

Thumb Pro 4K seems it has lack of contrast, in term of color & contrast thumb better in my opinion

I left everything default. The 4K has a better image when blown up and you can increase the contrast if desired.

Both did not have ND FILTERS in the side by side comparison, and when flying, both had ND FILTERS on.

The pro white balance looks washed out. The naked has better color.
