Looking at this. Its $236.95 on aliexpress. Anything similar/better in 2024, or a better price somewhere else? The specs say: May 26, 2023: The flight controller changed from TAKER F411 8Bit 12A AIO without ELRS version to TAKER F411 8Bit 12A built-in ELRS version. Being fpv ignorant (have a gps drone) I assume this controller can fly other drones? Thanks.

Hi Steve, I bought this after flying the RC Era C189 for a while, man you need to be sharp on the controls with the Apache. I am getting good with it now, it looks and flies awesome. Are you still gonna review the gps version?

It looks awesome and very easy to use. I don't know much about these FPV's Steve. What's the difference between the four that are on the page, Besides the prices? I would never buy another fimi I have a few and they have zero customer support the last one I received was Dead on arrival no refund of money no replacement zero customer service in months of emailing back and forth from China and the ones I have are glitchy as far as the camera don't buy of quality footage is important

Beware Fimi has no customer service I have 3 of their drones the last one I bought was broken on arrival if they send you a defective drone you will not be able to get your money back or have it replaced but you will get months of emailing back and forth to China my fimi cameras are glitchy if your footage is important I would not buy a fimi

I would never buy another fimi their customer service is non-existent they sent me a defective drone and made it so difficult to return it and get a replacement they hoped I would give up beware there is no customer service

So I’m wanting to learn fpv freestyle but don’t know where to start. I’ve looked at both digital and analog fpv setups but most of the rtf or bnf option are really expensive. When I look at analog they don’t have the type of fpv drones I’m looking for cause I have experience with many quads.

That is so true. When it comes to FPV Drones, it is difficult to purchase one that “Sucks”…. Now when it comes to the GPS Camera Drone hobby… Plenty still “Sucks” in the budget range.

I have the DJI newest Google's (not the budget one that was recently released) will my Google work with these hype drones. I have the neo and want to expand to true FPV. If I can avoid buying the avata that would be great. I find it to be to big and clunky.

Always enjoy your vids - always happy, clever and informative - but flying acro indoors is better than angle mode - because when you bump a wall - nothing happens. Try it. Acro can be liberating indoors. And I'll order more props, for mine - which I'm still setting up. (my first go with ELRS)

Oh I have flown Acro indoors for a large number of years… However, after destroying my wife’s newly painted walls too many times, I “wisely” know when and when not to fly Acro indoors.

With this being the year 2024, most companies ship with FPV Drone flight controllers already coated. I fly FPV Drones all year long, which means during our winter season I fly/land/crash in the snow, and have never had an issue.

The answer is no. Remember that I have to personally buy all my DJI Drones because I’m not a DJI Sponsored channel. The only DJI products I buy are the ones I will continue to use. I have such a large number of professional drones that I would have no use for the DJI Air 3s, especially with its weight category.

Hey Captain! I'm brand new to fpv, still figuring things out in the sim.. I want to make the jump to a tinywhoop, but I am VERY nearsighted (-9 in both eyes) and wear large eyeglasses, similar in shape to yours. I was really hoping you could provide some insight on the goggle situation.. Do I go for box goggles to accomodate my lenses? Someone told me that unlike VR goggles, fpv screens are set directly in front of your eyes and they can wear them without their glasses and see fine.. can you weigh in on this? liked and subbed ty for the helpful info!

-9 ? That is significant. I think that may be too much for any FPV Goggles on the market (most only go to -2). You will have to go for LARGE Box goggles that you can wear your glasses under. Also, you may be stuck with the DJI NEO COMBO. Apparently the N3 BOX Goggles that come with the kit allow for glasses.

Ordered the Draknight and after one month plus an extra 30-dollar delivery fee that they imposed it finally came with a defective camera. Tried to get a refund but HGLRC tried to avoid this with repair support. I even sent a video showing the problem to them and all I got was try this try that type emails which took 12 hours lag time because of the time difference. Hglrc just keeps pushing back on this defective product. If you want to gamble on getting one of these drones that actually works out of the box, you would be lucky. Save yourself from this common experience associated with this company.

Another Great Review ! Have you ever done a review of the DJI OSMO POCKET 3 ? I traded a DJI Air 2s for Pocket 3 as it was more suited for recording my Wife's and I, Recumbent Trike rides, and to say I'm impressed is an understatement. I added a inexpensive X Axis Stabilizer, and hand held all shots, and the results were the most stable Trike ride footage I've ever recorded. In the past I've used, my Samsung Fold 4, Osmo Action, and a Gopro Max 360° cameras. I'd just like to know your opinion on this little camera, and see if you have any additional tips or tricks . As always I enjoy your reviews, and value your imputs .

Sorry, no review. Since I have to buy DJI Products (I'm not a DJI Sponsored channel so no FREE DJI products for me to review), I only buy DJI items I will continue to use. Since I am a professional photographer/videographer with high end camera gear, the OSMO Pocket 3 unfortunately has no place in my kit. I did buy the OSMO Pocket 1 and 2 early on in my KZbin career and tried using the POCKET as an additional camera to my pro cameras, and some of my old videos were shot in this way. However, I did not care for the results as the POCKET is more designed as a vlogger on the go camera (if you only have 1 camera), or equally good as a vacation video camera (if that is all you have other than your cell phone). Every camera made that is of a different style has a different purpose so I'm glad to read that the POCKET is working out excellent for your needs! If I was a DJI SPONSORED KZbin channel (90% of DJI Reviews on KZbin are from DJI Sponsored channels that had to agree to DJI's terms in order to get free products), then I would most certainly have had a review of the POCKET 3. But for the immediate future, I have no plans to buy one.

So when you add an external camera to any FPV drone, you angle it to match the angle of the pilots camera. The pilots camera is always pointed above the horizon, so when the external camera is also angled up, no props appear.

So i apologise for all the questions. But out of this and rhe GepRC tinygo which wojld you recommend? They seem very similar. Dont need rhe 4k camera on the tinygo. Im convinced rhe aquila16 is poor quality in terms of rhe camera being too dark. But can i change the camera on this eventually to a higher quality Caddx analogue camera?

@CAPTAINDRONE798 well the EMAX TINYHAWK III Freestyle Plus gives you goggles that is also a seperate FPV monitor. It doesn't come with a case or bag of any sort. The HZ Zero version is great but double the price of the analog.versjon. The sub250 Whoopfly16 comes with a a carry case and Duncan snboc?

@CAPTAINDRONE798 oh great. Well I'm trying to decide between the Sub250 Whoopfly16 vs the BetaFPV Aquila16 and the EMAX TinyHawk III Plus Analog version. Really don't know which one to choose. The EMAX doesn't come with a case. But comes with FPV monitors and goggles in one. The Aquila is easy to fly with optical flow etc. but looks like I can't change the camera on it. So maybe the TinyHawk III Freestyle PLUS or the Sub250 Whoopfly16. For a beginner and someone who likes doc monitors but also a bigger quad for beginning with? I understand saw the Whoopfly16 is almost too powerful with a for a beginner. But uses a larger system.
