Wow. I live in Southern California, and we just had a wind storm and fire. I went to my properties and wanted to check the roof. This DJI would be great for looking at my roof. Also, this is great for taking pictures of myself while hiking.

Hello there MR Captain. Question: have you come across any drones that are using the HOME feature where it simply comes back to either the Landing pad or the Control? This would be better if you plan on moving around, like riding your bike, and still, it will not get lost or wonder around if the batteries get very low. You would walk on the lake ice with ski poles in case you fall through. You may stop from falling completely through and going under by putting them in a horizontal orientation before falling completely through. Also, they may afford you with enough purchase to self rescue in that scenario. Whereas not having them would leave you relying on the structural fortitude of the ice itself to allow for self rescuing.

Hi Steve. Superb instruction video. Although l have flown my whoops I'm pleased to have watched this as l can use it for when l get my Darwin Babyape 2 out for some outdoor flying. I'm really interested in the section about the goggles. Can you send me a link for the receiver. I have Fat Shark Dominator 3 and a patch antenna. Also a mushroom antenna but l can't use both at once as l only have one connection on my receiver. I would also like to use both together, especially as l have lost a couple of whoops outdoors. To have a VX signal from multiple directions would help. Thanks.

So would you say someone who just wants to soar like a bird, and explore nature from perspectives I couldn’t get otherwise then this is a good drone for me? The occasional swoop through trees if I’m feeling risky, but for the most part I don’t care to flip around I just want to get to my destination quickly. I have an Electric traxxas E-Revo 2.0 and I’m realizing that the maintenance on it for driving fast gets quite expensive quickly, the car just has too much power. Hundreds of dollars a month for everyday use attempting big jumps till I can perfect it. So my idea is a drone doesn’t take the abuse of bouncing on the ground, and as long as I don’t crash often I can keep up with the hobby.

also for people who want to fly the cetus x i flew dji and then bought the fc version which i do not regret because i have had it for about 2 weeks and i am already flying in air mode and doing flips and really happy with the kit

i bought mine because of the noise it makes. my neighbors think i am an FPV pilot now.

I have the th3 and I too have eyesight issues with the goggles. The ability to just use the screen is a win. The price of $109 is right in line with other sub250 models. I will be getting this. Thanks.

sorry, it’s me again the old chap who couldn’t really think of a reason to buy a drone, what you told me about your father has motivated me, do you think this drone the one you are currently reviewing is a good one for somebody to start off with? I’m quite computer literate, in fact as a computer journalist I interviewed both Steve Jobs and Bill Gates, not on my own but with a group of other journalists. Any advice would be welcome, I’d rather spend a bit more money and get something good than waste money on a cheap item which will put me off drones forever. Thank you again for an excellent channel. I've had a lot of DJI drones but def dont like the DJI Flip

I just hope that You live in NJ! Oh how calming in multiple aspects, You seem to live in Canada. At 9:09 it looked like a crashlanded and frozen drone as I failed to judge the size of the objects. This drone is enormous as much as Your expertise is. That's a hell of a male bee! The Dji Flip represents that future perfection, we the children of the eighties, and thanks to Kubrick yet in the sixties, expected for around the year 2000. Time does never, what we expect it to. So I'm flabbergasted still 25 years later. Stay healthy!

Have mavic 2 but want to get somwthing with better night time. Or maybe im using it wrong but this looks better. I just need something that does simple aerial video and photos. Would love more sensors but mosrly its not complex shooting. Would you recommend this drone for better night shooting than mavic 2 zoom ? Dont use much anymore so going for €1000 plus drones isnt an option. It doesnt have night mode but is that a disadvantage?
