How do you like the B6Neo? My ToolKitRC M8S has a ton of great features for the price but its calibration is a constant nuisance and it has some weird quirks....looking to replace it but I'm not really using it for Lipos, I just have one, I'm mostly using it to balance Lithium Ion packs and Lithium Iron Phosphate packs....My M8S also can do 18A charging with my server power supply as a DC source and thats more than I can do with anything else I have. The B6Neo isn't quite as powerful but thats ok with me I'm just looking for something accurate and..not full of quirks

@@ericklein5097 it’s nice for the price and it can be calibrated if you have a better device to calibrate from. I have a Fluke 179 I use to calibrate.

This is a hobby charger for people with basic knowledge of how to charge batteries (I.e., simple to use for people new to the world of charging batteries in the RC hobby). If you are experienced then you know you can set the end voltage per cell to get the results you desire.

I mean if I have batteries with T plug, is there any adaptor needed? If so, what connector tipe is on charger? And do I need balance boards at all? Or can I plug balance cable from battery straight in to the charger? Sorry about the silly questions but I am new in RC. Thank you.

Good charger but not a good discharger even with the BD350 40A. The storage voltage should be adjustable (not fixed at 3.80 volts) and the dischage voltage should have more voltage range (above 3.40 volts). I am very impressed with the charge however ToolkitRC and iChargers have much better storage/discharge options\settings. :( Also the set current is not very accurate for charge and discharge. :(

Is the SkyRC disharger necessary for the fast discharging or can we use our own set of power resistors to take advantage of this?
@CAPTAINDRONE798
@CAPTAINDRONE798 Жыл бұрын
It will discharge without any accessories (it does it like any other charger on the market but it is slow). if you wish to discharge super quick, then you need the add on discharger.
@ericklein5097
@ericklein5097 Жыл бұрын
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 lame so many other chargers (even the ToolkitRC M8S) offer an "external" discharge mode that allow you to connect any kind of load to the input and then you can set the parameters that work with your load. Internal discharging is always relatively weak but I don't want a charger the size of large pelican case just to house some giant resistors and fans. (And this is where the M8S has one of its problems, the fans are God awful terrible. Loud, hardly move any air, and the venting on the charger is equally as bad)

What kind of charger do you recommend for a 1s battery? Think it's an xt30 plug.... it's for the tiny hawk 3
@CAPTAINDRONE798
@CAPTAINDRONE798 Жыл бұрын
1s chargers are extremely basic and usually powered by USB because the batteries are small. Not many 1S batteries have an XT30. Check Amazon or Banggood.

The main body is 8"x3.5"X3.5" Including the AC power cables sticking out the front and the connectors sticking out the back its about 12". All of this can be put in the bottom of a case with a sheet that your charger is mounted to so when you open the case all you see is your charger and theres just an AC port on the side/back of the case to power the power supplies. I'm sure you're familiar with these RC charging cases.

@@captainsmanAhhh, ok, now I understand. That option is normally in the settings. Plenty of chargers have it so that you can keep plugging in one battery after another if the same voltage & amps and the same battery settings are shown. Unfortunately since I have a crazy number of battery chargers I have passed this charger to a member of my flying group, so I can’t check.
