Yeah this is a bit strange isn't it. Call Of Duty Ghosts maybe approaching 7 years old , but it actually has some really cool Easter eggs. I had a spare few hours this week so I decided to put this together as bonus Easter egg video. Heck, I've done the math, and the number of "world's end" dates that I've "survived" alone since my birth on December 6th, 1993 is somewhere in the 70's; including one that wasn't mentioned in Wikipedia that I know of where, of course everyone thought the world was going to end on June 6th, 2006. I don't know how many other "end of the world" theories have come up that weren't documented in Wikipedia, though, so, who knows, I may have even survived over 100 "apocalypses!"

Ghosts is actually a pretty good COD game. It's got pretty cool weapons, the maps are REALLY good and the aliens mode was cool and even if people called it a carbon copy of zombies, it was a lot of fun to shoot at aliens

ViolantTaco Extinction was ahead of its time IMO. It’s similar to GTFO in the sense of “oh fuck, alien creatures, 4 player co-op, kill them and don’t die”, if lacking in the unique horror aspect that GTFO has.

There are more references on fog in the basement of the main cabin. I don’t exactly remember but I think there is a predator skull down there and a weird spider skeleton thing, also more references to the evil dead I believe

You missed an Easter egg on federation day mission, when you repel down after killing the lights look very closely in the windows, there will be a man on a chair.shoot him and you will unlock the achievement “sleeping beauty.”

In the Pharos and Fog map, if you call in the Juggernaut Maniac kill streak and equip it, you turn into 2 really iconic movie characters. In the Pharos map, you turn into The Predator and run around with your wrist gauntlet. And in the fog map, you turn into Michael Myers with an axe, which is my personal favourite

7:30 Okay, for a second there, I thought it may have been a reference to the “It’s time to stop” meme, but I don’t think Filthy Frank had made that meme yet. Also, you forgot how on the map Fog, if a player accrues a high enough kill streak to unlock a maniac, there’s a chance the care package will have a prompt to play as Michael Myers, and it’s not just the text. You get a full character model with an axe and you get to run around slashing people. As Fog is a love letter to horror films, there’s another DLC map, Ruins, that is a love letter to the Predator series. Taking place in ancient, overgrown Yautja (the species’ name of the Predators) temple, there’s tons if statues, symbols from the series, etc. They even did the same thing with Michael Myers, but instead you get to play as a Predator. Thermal vision, wristblades, shoulder cannons, self-destruct and all, it makes for an amazing Predator map and possibly could’ve inspired this year’s “Predator: Hunting Grounds”.

For the Saving Private Ryan Easter egg, there is a similar one on Call of Duty World at War. On the very first mission if you do not reach a US soldier fighting a Japanese soldier in time he will be killed. But if you do save him you get the advancement Saving Private Ryan. It’s cool to see COD using similar Easter eggs now and again.

In the campaign mission Clockwork A soldier can be seen doing the 👌 symbol with his hands after he dies. This can be seen during the sniping sequence when you have to hide the bodies. In the the first mission, when you first arrive in space, if you turn around you can see the earth is mostly Black. I think it might be a reference to the MW2 mission ‘Whisky Hotel’ the game asks you to turn your head to the right side of the earth, and it appears to be black, cause of the ongoing conflict in that game. Right off the top of my head, I already notice the lack of the Myers and Predator killstreaks on the DLC maps, the cryptid eggs for the hidden challenges in both multiplayer and Extinction, and the nod to Neversoft's Guitar Hero in the final Extinction map due to the company joining another. The Venom-X on Unearthed came from the prior DLC's Extinction map Nightfall, just to add that detail.

I loved infected in this game, the maps were bad on TDM mode but on infected they were some of the best infected maps in any CoD game
