@@Mythbuster3808 I was very nervous too, What I did was I went and sent a private message to the tower asking him if he could talk a bit slower and he did. I recommend finding an airport with low traffic, i was flying from EDSB Baden baden airporg in germany, ive had maybe 3 diffrent controllers there and theyve all been very nice and helpful.

Quick question for example when centre first contacts you for descent they may say, descend to 12,00ft, how do we do that VNAV?

What happens if your approach route set in fmc and they give you visual for approach for another runway? Do you just keep flying the rise 1 approach until atc gives you vector?

Question: Why is reporting the "runway in sight" important when flying ILS and flying with auto pilot on until at least just before touchdown? By the way, I lived in Albemarle, NC during High School at North Stanly High. I live in the Columbia, SC area now. One more question: I plan on purchasing a new HP Computer Windows 11. Do you know if MSFS will run on this new computer with Windows 11? Great videos. I mean, I barley even know how to fly a route offline or use the fmc thing but I still watch all these VAtSim tutorials. It’s something I would sure be interested doing in the future! I do have a question anyway, what do you do if you have one approach/descent route set up in the fmc, but then the ATCs tell you to come down another route via different waypoints, landing on a different runway? How do you know you hit a waypoint if it wasn’t already programmed in the fmc? Sorry for my general incompetence I don’t know a lot about this lol.

theyd probably let you know early enough which runway to expect that you can change your approach via the fmc

Quick question. Last night I did a vatsim flight center cleared me for decent. Later on I got cleared for the ils approach but I was not told to contact tower. Is it your job to contact tower by yourself or are you supposed to be handed off ?

You are supposed to get handed off, but since VATSIM operates in a top-down fashion if there is no tower or Arr/Dep then the center will act as that.

is it wrong to pause on vatsim? The reason is sometimes you need some composure to talk to ATC think what your going to say then say it thats why I have it installed but never used it lol

Generally it is wrong to pause on vatsim because suddenly you just stop in mid air to other people and it can annoy the ATC. Just get some practice and after a few short easy flights on a route that you know by heart, and you will be just fine and can even get to where you can anticipate the next thing ATC will tell you!

Can someone please help me out? I have been trying to use vatsim but am unable to change frequencies. I put in the correct frequency in stand by mode and then when I hit the switch button, it makes both of them the same frequency as when I started. It will not let me use another frequency then the one that I start out with. This is every plane in the game I have this problem with
