Hey Capt. So here's my 2 cents on the live stream idea. It sounds great and I'm sure people would tune in. This might be a little surprising coming from a viewer but I personally wouldn't do it. Doing youtube is great and all but it's already pretty invasive on your life. Going live would make it even more so. In doing my project, I've scaled back on taking video since I felt it was getting in the way of just enjoying the time with the family and creating those memories. No matter what anyone says, when the camera is rolling, you act/do things different. i think you're doing really well with the way you're doing things now and personally wouldn't invest more time into this. Not sure if any of this makes sense but there you go. Feel free to email me if you ever want to chat more. See ya buddy!

@jaquigreenlees4 жыл бұрын
A way to test the livestream is to do what Indiana Diesel does when he is live, use your smart phone while going over the days plan live and you can see comments somewhat to respond to them. He usually only does 5 to 10 minutes of livestream. Use the community section to post when you will be live a day before so people can try to catch it if they want to see it. Running power out, good idea to set up a construction power station, charge batteries for tools that use them, cameras etc. Running cable or fibre-optic line, unless you plan on putting them into the KZbin Yacht, would be wasted money.

I got a nickle. I don't know how many channels you follow, but Nick over at Welker Farms does live streams sometimes during harvest, planting or spraying crops and he usually gets a lot of viewers, but they have a really big channel now. So it would depend on what you are working on or with how interactive you can be, he is in Montana and except for some power poles and the odd well head, there is nothing to hit with a machine out their fields. I would also suggest you and DP check them out just for the drone footage Nick gets while farming. Not that either of you are bad at getting drone shots, I don't want to sound mean, just thought you might get some ideas from him. Running power out to the barn would be a good idea if for no other reason that you could break up the cost by doing it in sections. I know you could dig the trenches yourself but you might save yourself a headache if part way through trenching DP needs the machine you are using and you might not get a chance to finish until later.

Live stream would be cool, however, if you don't get enough feedback here is another idea. You could get a couple of game cameras that have wifi capability. I know some hunters who have them and can log in anytime from the boats. Also, road and ditch are looking grate...haha

Time Lapse Towboater that’s pretty cool. Has to be frustrating if they see a big buck and they are on the boat! 😂
