Hey, Mike! Things are taking shape! Good to see fall protection being used. 40 years ago I almost fell off a roof. The only thing that saved me; my belt buckle caught on the rain gutter! My legs were dangling in the air - when I came to a stop! The Good Lord was riding with me as I slid down the roof at Mach 10! Great video! Thanks Mike. Lee

Fall protection is just for the viewers. It causes more issues to professionals than it's worth. I never fell of a roof in 25+ years, but I do trip on the damn ropes all over the damn roof when I did *have* to wear one on certain jobs. Know & LOOK where you're stepping....ALWAYS, what's underneath it, stay closer to rafters if unsure about strength of sheathing oof deck. Balance is very important along with core body strength! 💪🏻👍🏻👌🏻🛠️🔩🔧🦺🥴😬

Well done Captain. I remember the days in ancient times, when I could still climb a 24 foot extension ladder with a roll of roofing felt on my shoulder, and a bundle of shingles on the other, also when I could roll out the felt so evenly that I could use the printed on faint lines to start my shingle rows. (Or maybe, my memory is as defective as my back.) Thanks for the video, take care!

Cap’n now that you’re high and dry I say …. LET IT RAIN! I used a similar roofing sealer on my entire house’s roof. Best investment I made…. On home repairs. I have had shingles blown off in a small tornado… dry as a bone! A couple of roofing nails backed out…. Dry as a bone! The shingles spanning across the corner where my cricket met the roof cracked. 1:29 The nice bow in the ladder comes from slamming\dropping it down on its side. Drop it on the opposite side to get it to flex back to straight. The rungs are pressed into the side rails and get a little catywompus when dropped on the side rail....just reverse it back to straight. Maybe it was done by the delivery guy or at the store or something.

Good progress on the roof, ground clearance, "plumbing" etc. What happened with the New Mic? Did you, by some chance "drop" it? Off the roof? Did a search for the replacement lower glass on the 304. Without specific details on your unit, it appears as though you can buy a direct replacement for about $135 plus or minus off the internet. Mike the ladder top has to be atleast 3 feet above the edge of the roof so you can keep walking up with hand on it when you get up to the top. OSHA is in the audience watching you. Make sure you keep your tripping rope all over the roof and always in your way where you're stepping so it rolls under your foot & takes you down! Saftey.......first! 🥴🦺⚠️❎🛠️👌🏻🤦🏻‍♂️

The trees you’re cutting down, skin them and char them. Then put them in as a pier and dock, then put a gangplank in. With pylons and tie down with ropes to simulate it being docked.
