How to Craft Spell Blade Gear

Here is my walkthrough on how to craft all the rare gear for the spell blade character, hope this helps for people putting together the character, I am not planning to further push the character I its getting too expensive and I want to play other builds still this league.

Ill be honest, idk if its just my experience now within the game, or this video in particular? But this was a total game changer for me. Ive been trying some harder and harder crafts. Failing at most but I've been persistent. Somehow over the course of the last league maybe league and a half. Its all started to come together for me. That said, I don't get as much of your content in as do others Lance. But when Im here I find that its ALWAYS top tier. Your truly one of the strongest players in the community. well that was a good lesson to learn from end of the video, "simulate your GG crafts in craft of exile to see how much currency it takes on average, and then compare it with your budget crafts in PoB to see if its worth it"

Yeah I didn't really want to price at flipper price, I had bought it for 2d, and most the ones listed were 5d at the time. Eyes are solid but so extremely limited in supply the price will balloon with just a few flippers.

Same situation with me on LA, I tried crafting a helmet better than Voll Vision just bcs I have nothing else to do on the char, ended up using 40+ div on it and it's worse than voll vision when you pob it both for damage and for defences

You can make many helmets better than volls offensive & defense wise. Kaom spirit corruptions unlocked Higher Chaos res Spell suppress Mana reservation x2 (18% minimum) Phys taken as Reduced mana cost to skills If you want a cheap alternative to volls use a corrupted kikazarus ring, catalysts, and get some levels

@@wtfwasthat16 Perhps I wasn't clear enough, but I meant it for MY BUILD just like he says on the video for his case, bcs I would need some specific mods to make it worth like 1t life to improve my life just a bit better than 12% max life roll on voll, and chaos t1 to be a bit better as well, but losing the 400 life regen per second is a big waste of berserk potential overall, and yes, you then unlock implicit corrupts but for that you would have to basically look for every other item slot for better implicits and would be much more trouble than its worth, and still, as 1 item slot basis analysis, wasn't worth as the build can do everything I need it to anyway

Thanks, this has the potential to become one of the best builds. I am looking to create a guide on how to league start and transition into a budget version with 5-10 divines, then upgrade later. How high is the DPS ceiling ? Coming form Ward looping the self cast feels bad though.

Is there an eyes vs crown comparison? You mentioned both at the end, both being better than the crafted one. Is eyes > crown, or is there a reason to use either?

so.. i am running this build since 2 days got to level 80, but i keep dying while mapping when several projectiles hit me (like 3 or 4) and i am at 7.4 ES with energy blade on (and 8.4k hp 99,5% reserved) - how do i survive more ? i am res capped, armor is kinda meh, but i am no where near enough to facetank bosses or even map without dying, thanks for any advice

I would suggest playing around with other skills. Something like storm brand is less damage, but you can play more safely. You can also try swapping haste out for grace or determination. Dropping a couple links for cwdt-immortal call (or molten shell if using determination) might also help a lot against burst damage. You still won't be face tanking anything, but you should die less often in maps

On the lower end of budget I would actually recommend swapping haste for determination, grabbing life/armour node outside marauder and +1 armour per 2 str mastery as well as the armour/es passives with recover 5% es on phsy damage, most likely at that level of ES you don't have enough raw EHP to absorb phys damage and should plan accordingly, the higher you get in ES will allow you to drop armour for more speed, but I believe this is what is probably killing you currently.

15 divines, I just made this build with 15 divines, the dps is around 4 million

I swaped at 68 with basic crappy gear, no corruptions on uniques, and it was a breeze on low level maps, but I could only reliable clean t16 without dieing all the time at 22k+ ES at lvl 90+

I’m working with 14k ES pool, 7k with energy blade. It’s definitely a bit sketchy, but the build is up and running. I can clear T16’s and it feels good, but I do need to play safe. I play with storm brand and I recommend storm brand if you have a lower investment due to the safe gameplay

2 questions. - would a synthesize %str belt ever be an option? - would voices ever be preferable to large clusters with +attributes?

synth str% belt can allow you to roll chaos res suffix which is nice but will be a fair amount weaker for EHP scaling unless you are giga rich and can afford %str +%int type of synth belt.

I tried my amulet, I got: all attributes (frac), strength, t1 crit multi, aoe unveil and %ES craft. In total 5 mods, so I can just use an exalted or is there a better way to get a 6th mod?

Do you have eternal youth specced + blood magic? This sounds like a bug of some sort or missing something key like eternal youth, not quite sure what it is in your case, but this shouldn't be happening.

You missed the first step on every craft: Perfect Fossils until 30% quality. Perfect Fossils are relatively common if you Delve, and I'd rather use my t4 Hillocks on uniques.

But this only applies to 1/4 of the crafts shown, and even then it's not worth the money. I'd rather spend a divine for another 40 essences to craft the belt than spend a divine getting an extra 0.1% es from the boots

Perfect fossils are like 15-20c on average and 30 qual takes 15 on average, I do not want to add a 300c average cost for something that can easilly be done at a later time with hillock when doing betrayal anyways for jorgin amulet.

I swapped at 68 because that’s when you can wear all the uniques: ivory tower, shaper’s touch, etc. Felt a bit sketchy to get going from there but could recommend

Buy Hollow Palm jewel, do acts, switch.

level with ghostwrithe and use any skill you like.

Ghostwrithe for spellblade angle, hollow palm for speed + full respec, or any other leveling you prefer, ultimately you will want to do a full respec to the build at lvl68+ when you can actually equip the mandatory pieces of ivory + shapers touch

This is generally quite expensive to do, realistically it involves a lot of bristle matrons +block/exalts/anul saves ect. OR gambling reforge life/influence and hoping you dont fill prefixes, I don't particularly recommend trying to perfect belt prefixes unless you have a high budget.

I thought sanctified doesn't affect the tier it rolls but the rolls itself. like if you roll T1 int it is more likely to roll 54 or 55.

You spent 5 div in a amulet, to 1/7 chance on Jordin that can even be a low roll, and in PoB it is crushed by my 20div Greatwolf, A three rat need to be insane like yours to actually beat the greatwolf and it gonna cost way more and take hours to make.

Welcome to POE where crafting has RNG elements and you roll the dice. Greatwolf can only get max 32 attributes and 72 and that's a perfect roll that you gamble on too

​@@wtfwasthat16I bought the greatwolf, there is no gambling (28 att, 46 defenses). Making a Three Rat better that is insanely more costly and time consuming. A worthy Three Rat candidate is probably 8-10 div before each Jordin atempt, and even if u get a Three Rat, a low roll implicit kills it.

Its from a skill gem called energy blade, it sacrifices half of your energy shield to make a weapon with a metric ton of lightning damage.

Get a weapon. Use fossils to get an abyssal socket (or buy one) use the energy blade gem

If you want to min-max, you could roll the abyssal socket onto a sceptre with fractured stats, and also craft stats as a suffix, as those will increase your HP pool when you turn off energy blade.

It sounds more like you're bad at trading tbh. Lance has that 40div budget setup. I got all the uniques except glimpse and the pricier jewels like instinct for under 2div, and this was multiple days after his second progress video. Its not remotely perfect rolls and could go far higher es, but I sure didn't need mirror-scale div costs to get the core of the build assembled lmao.
