Two things: 1) I think one of the reasons David’s so overprotective of Emma is because he never got to be her favorite guy. If anything her first favorite guy was her son. Of course Charming is her favorite guy but he never got to be her FIRST favorite guy. 2) You tell by the little gestures he makes that while he knows she’s a grown women and acknowledges it, in his eyes she’s still that newborn that he feels as if he failed. He obviously didn’t, but he feels as if he did

what I don´t get is and was that Emma was closed to her Mom before she knew MM aka Snow is her Mother. She became Close again, and that what I love. But what I don´t get to understand is the Kind of relationship in between. Yes Snow overdose her Momlyness but how should she knew better. And Emma did not know how to take it because she wasn´t used to it. But to me this was a lot to hard
