BELIEVE IT OR NOT, THE LIGHTNING ELITE IS A..... ''KNOCK OFF''. IN ALL REALITY. IF THESE WERE ANY OTHER OTF THAT COSTS $300, AND ONE SIMILAR, EVERONE WOULD CALL IT A KNOCK-OFF. WHAT DO YOU THINK❓❓

Good to go. Elites ain't bad. Some like them better. I'm really a charter boat captain, waiting for a new boat to be finished being built. With a bad knife hobby I'm trying to get out of. And selling my last few High buck OTF's. To buy more fishing tackle.

I've got a real old buck knife from the 80's like the one's you showed at the end. I need to find it. I don't know the actual age but I got it while I was in the Army. Found it out in the woods on Fort Stewart.

yeah the only bucks that I like are the cast titanium handled ones. that are very old. you don't have to wear suspenders to carry one. you can easily look up the date code on the buck website.

Gotta be the high boy year(s). I once had a 1949 Dodge, that was going to turn into a custom hot rod. But it got T-BONED by a drunk driver while I was in it. IT WAS MY DAILY DRIVER. I LOVED IT. (that thick AMERICAN steel saved my life.)

The Taiwan made lighting is the best version. Iv seen they are planning on making some with a kris style blade.

Cool knives Dave. In your old videos you were a huge fan of Cold Steel because of their toughness. You said you trusted CS because to you a knife is a safety device for cutting anchor rope etc in a hurry. Do you trust these knives to do the same task? If not do you carry a back up blade you trust. Have you ever tried the anchor rope test on these OTFs? Asking because I do not own any OTFs, I just dont know how prone they are to not deploying if there is lint/ junk inside the knife. ⚔⚔STILL 100% LOVE A COLD STEEL TIGER CLAW ❗❗❗❗ oh my shit is so sharp it'll easily cut an anchor line. I'm in my OTF phase I just like the one handedeness in this because I'm always doing something else and like I'm on the phone or it's just too easy to only use one hand to get a job done. I don't carry these in my pocket I scout carry them on my belt with an elastic sheath I guess you could call it I've done videos about how I carry knives I carry pliers I carry flashlights in my pocket a notepad so I don't have room to carry knives in my pocket

BOTH ELITE AND ''ORIGINAL'' are more reliable than any microtech I've ever owned. I reccomend the ORIGINAL!

if you want one that is basically the exact same thing as a lightning elite, butt with better D2 steel try the Cobra tech lightweight it's the same thing as the Chinese lightning elite it's a bit nicer and has the D2 steel instead of the soft Chinese 440. I just picked one up and I kind of like it. same shape same everything as the lightning elite. I don't like glass breakers and all that stuff and I like that blocking us of the lightnings and that's what this has to check it out
