Captiva Island Florida

Captiva Island, Florida is a beautiful barrier island located off the Gulf coast of Florida. It is known for its stunning beaches, crystal-clear waters, and rich wildlife. Hurricane Ian hit the island in 2022 causing significant damage to the infrastructure, homes, and businesses. The recovery process has been ongoing since then, with efforts from the local community, state and federal agencies, and private organizations to rebuild and restore the island to its former glory. Steps taken included clearing of debris, repairing infrastructure, and rebuilding damaged properties. It has been a challenging process but the island is now well on its way to full recovery and is once again a popular tourist destination for those seeking a tropical getaway.
