Usopp's name is a pun involving Aesop, the guy who wrote The Boy Who Cried Wolf, and the japanese word "Uso" mean "lie". (Nami's name means Wave and "Ro" is short for the number 6 in japanese. Roronoa Zoro contains 3 Ro's, so: 666 because hes the "great demon")

Basically yeah, Usopp doesn’t lie out of malice or any pathological reason, he lies and embellishes truths to make those closer to him happier. He lied about pirates coming so his Mom would smile thinking his Dad was coming.

what I enjoy about this series is it starts off establishing devil fruits are a thing. then proceeds to go “and here’s just a load of other people who can just do cool stuff because they trained Really Really super hard at it”.

The board game is real. It's a Chinese game called Go that's very popular in east Asia, sort of their cultural equivalent of chess. Kuro has not eaten a devil fruit, the zipping around is just a thing he can do.

@@MandyMooMovies It's also known as Weiqi and Baduk, but Go is the most common name in English. The basic rules are actually really simple: * Two players, black and white, take turns placing stones of their color on a 19x19 grid. There are no diagonals. * Black goes first. * You are allowed to pass. * If a contiguous set of stones of the same color are completely and directly surrounded after a move, they are captured and removed from the board. * You cannot place a stone if doing so would repeat an earlier board position. * You cannot place a stone if doing so would cause it to immediately be captured. * The game ends when both players pass twice in a row. * Whoever controls the most space on the board wins. (you control a point if it has one of your stones or is completely surrounded by your stones) A lot of actual rule sets are more complicated, either to be more precise, for balance reasons, or because of different national traditions, but those are enough to play a game.

Actually the Live Action is better viewed as an adaptation of the manga directly rather than the anime, as Matt Owens, the head writer, is a fan of the original comic rather than the show. That's why they did some of those extreme close-ups with the blurred backgrounds, those are a direct reference to panels in the manga, rather than anything that was in the anime

There was NO toilet on the ship, and NO, Zoro didn't relieve himself. He was most likely asleep and when he woke, he found water coming in because it was, after all, a pirate ship that Nami stole. So, NO the water didn't come from the "poop deck." If you remember, the "not a crew" was first being introduced in Shells Town, they came across Captain "Axe-hand" Morgan. He made a claim that he single-handedly took down the infamous Black Cat pirate Captain Kuro. Well...the anime, and probably also the manga, goes into detail on why he believes that's what he did.

Little late, but I'm pretty sure Buggy was too scared of Arlong atp to try to escape from the ropes. Bc yes, he absolutely could've separated and reattached to get out of regular ropes.

It would be fun to talk with everybody especially when you're gonna fangirl (share the blessings, lol) xD If you're second guessing, you can just record your reactions to the anime and just not post it (yet), just so you can look back on your journey yourself.

Hey, I just want to give you some advice, take it as you will. It's important to post reactions for shows at least 2 to 4 times per week otherwise it's hard to keep the audience interested and committed to watch your videos. It's better to do less shows but upload more frequently if you can't manage. Once every 2 weeks is too long, I don't remember your last reaction so interest to watch this one will be low. Take care!
