But calling their empires the greatest of Africa is difficult when you also have to compare the civilizations of Egypt, Carthage, Nubia, Ethiopia, and the entire Sudan. Not to mention the accomplishments of smaller kingdoms that have given us worldwide marvels such as Great Zimbabwe and the Walls of Benin. The continent and its history as a whole is great.
