don't be surprised, Ukrainian soldiers don't destroy their equipment when they run away, you can see it with tanks and IFVs, they are damaged for example without a track. The Ukrainian crew runs away and leaves the otherwise intact tank in place. Russia will then take the equipment and weapons away for repair and then take the equipment to Russia. There, technology and its systems are researched and tested. For example, Russia also handed over Javelin missiles to China and Iran, including targeting/sight units. So it's reverse engineering right now. Not only will it strengthen the Iranian and Chinese arms industry, but it will give them information on how to defend against such weapons, how to disrupt or destroy them before they hit a tank. So we can expect that a new generation of APS for tanks and IFVs will appear soon, which will be able to destroy even missiles that attack from the upper hemisphere.

Ukraine is 1 tenth Russia's size and is only getting 40 year old retired weapons in tiny numbers. It has virtually no air force no navy improper air defences lacks armour and artillery and soldiers. We are into the 4th year of a war that should of taken Russia a week. Russia was on it's back foot for 8 months last year until Trump and his pals block aid to Ukraine and they had no weapons or ammo for 6 months. Only then did Russia stop advancing towards Moscow. Ukrainian troops are much better than Russian troops who are only as good as they are by learning from the Ukrainians. They had to they were being wiped out and still are. January Russia lost more troops than at any other point in the war.
