I'm guilty of using a flash for these situations, but you're right, your images look more real and have a greater impact.

Very interesting video! Thanks! I think I'll try the led light with the diffuser next time. One thing, I would have loved that you shared the settings of the cover photo, which is truly beautiful... As you said it is not rocket science because all situations and cameras are different but it could help people start somewhere :)

Appreciate it. So this is an older photo and I dont have the exact settings saved but what I always do is set my shutter speed to about 300, 2.8 aperture and then as soon as the first sparkler is lit, i have the guest hold it so i can set my iso on them while the other sparklers are being lit.

white balance depends on the location. I just look through the FUJI LCD and choose my white balance once the initial crowd lines up outside.

sorry so late. wide. 10-24 for fuji. about a 16 equivalent on other cameras
