Cool. Not an astronomer here, but wondering.. On the un tracked camera, you could alternate a red green, blue filter on the lens. The stars would come out as candy striped and the Geo sats come out as white?

Yes, in theory. In practice that would be a lot of tedious work unless you had a system with a programmable filter wheel, and then for what end?

@@alandyer910 I just think a clear image of the celestial equator would be a cool thing. I think this would reduce the brightness of the stars by 1/3 in general, and if you were to create program to remove any pixel where the color deviated from white, you'd have a pretty clear image. Kind of like Earth's version of Saturn's rings.
